JJK may not have the emotions of Berserk, or the big brain of Death Note. But the show is just fucking cool and that's enough. Also I could have gone without seeing that Jujutsu Stroll.

So the old adage continues, once you go black you can never go back.

Maki is what Tenten could be if Kishimoto gave a damn about her.

The animation in this episode is definitely amazing. You can always tell when a studio is going all-out by the fluidity of the motions.

What's with newer animes and episode #19 being the most hype of the season (or so); Demon Slayer ep.19 "Hinokami" and now Jujutsu with "Black Flash"

I have to say, this episode is good, but the next episode blew me away. The fight choreography was the best so far. My personal favorite episode.

I love how as soon as a legitimate threat appears the students quit fighting each other immediately and team up. There's no "can I really trust this guy with my back" going on at all. It really highlights how even though they all have their differences, they're Jujutsu Sorcerers first and foremost. So when a curse that's actually a threat appears they can trust one another and fight together.

The studio is using a lot of a technique called rotoscoping for the action scenes. You may already know what it is, but it's a style of animation where you trace drawings frame by frame over a video to get a very fluid piece of animation. Here they're probably tracing over 3D CGI models but for over a 100 years animators have used actors and film reel for rotoscoping.
