That toy at the end in the Juju stroll is called Pop-Eye, my sis and I used to play that game all the time when we were kids. It is a lot of fun due to the anxiety of never knowing when you'll put the sword in the wrong hole. Lol.

We have similar toys, but a lot of adults with no/adult kids don't seem to know of them as they seem to only have gained more popularity here in the States recently. I watch a lot of kids television in my line of work and personal life and have a couple younger kids in my immediate family so I've seen quite a few variations of the "put such and such in this or that hole, but get it wrong and bam!" toy lately. Whereas, as a kid, I can only think of one or two products that were like that and extremely popular.

The tragic thing about Junpei is that in another anime you could see him joining up as part of the squad. It's even hinted at in the opening, so when he gets taken out suddenly here it really hurts.
