Its a shame that the anime cut so much from the fight. It has one of my favorite pre fight moments where ippo gets so invested and determined that he doesn't think and takes off all his clothes revealing the big mara infront of everyone and intimidates everyone

Coach Kamogawa's VA died before this season in 2013, so he sounds different now. RIP🙏 And the commentator changed as well, I believe. I already miss the guy screaming "MIGI!!!"😅

We’re finally back from where we first started LOL! I’m actually very sad we are closing in to finishing Ippo because this show could’ve been running about 500+ episodes with all the manga content available. Hopefully this anime gets picked up again in the near future

I feel like there’s at least a glimmer of hope. A lot of things within the past year or so are signs that a new season may be in the works. The release of the fighting souls mobile game in Japan, the release of the first season on blu ray, a few new figures, ect. They could be testing the waters, fingers crossed...
