Good to know I am not the only one who has issues with mega the last few days... I might not have a great internet but 80-200kb/s download is just terrible when steam runs 3-4mb/s easily.

Your right about going up a weight class sometimes helping Curtis. Kumi chan's brother Frankenstein went up a weight class after losing to Ippo and became the champion shortly after.

It's not that Takamura can't go up weight classes. I'm sure he would love to. But if he starts as a heavyweight in Japan, with practically no local competition, he would never even get an international match and the intervalls between matches would be even worse than in the middleweight division. He'd be approaching 30 before his first world title match, having fought dozens of the same local guys and only a few international opponents. IF he even got one in the first place, since the Kamogawa gym doesn't have the finances to pull in any opponents of worth if they aren't interested. A shitty situation all around. Incidentally, that's why Takamura got a jr. middleweight title match, even though he only competed as a middleweight before going international. He just didn't get any offers for middleweight matches...

This episode really shows how blind Takamura's brother and father are. A guy doesn't go through something like this just to run back to the family. Takamura's doing this for himself and that desire is what makes this insane cutting possible. Also poor Aoki's eyebrows. You know it's bad when Ippo's laughing at you
