If link dont work just search clannad ending explained. Usally first vidoe that come up at the top. Has the "truth behind the girl and the robot" in the title. Dont want to specify more beacause of spoilers.

First time watching this, I was thinking I hope Tomoya doesn't resent his kid cause she reminds him of Nagisa's death or something. I don't really think it's that, though. I think he's just given up on everything, including being a father. Doesn't necessarily hate Ushio, just doesn't want anything to do with her. Well, let's hope that changes.

Now we continue with the parallels. My son in law, just like tomoya, was also stuck in grief after the passing of my daughter. But unlike tomoya he drowned his sorrows away in alcohol. For five years me and my wife had to look after and take care of my granddaughter because he was incapable. In those five years there was no connection between them, no bond or father and daughter you more accurate. It came to the point where she thought I was her dad. I'll continue as this story goes on. Thank you

Yea, Tomoya is certainly in a brutal situation! There are so many things that could be running through his mind.

For those first 5 years, it was somewhat like father like son. One difference was that Tomoya had the support of Sanae and Akio. Wonder how things would have ended had Tomoya raised Ushio without that support. Also the next 2 episodes hit hard for me personally when I first watched it (probably even more than Nagisa's death). Can't wait for them lol
