This relationship between Tomoya and Nagisa is damn near perfect! I have such huge fears about what will happen to it!

Can't believe I just now noticed that the title image keeps changing little by little just like how the visual novel did o.o and I watched this a few times too lol.. Total mind blown. It was neat how the father thing has been mentioned here and there in previous episodes, but it was always either downplayed or "I'll do it later..." Welp. I always wondered would things have changed if Tomoya had actually kept in touch before? 🤷‍♂️ It also didn't make that much sense to me as well about how Tomoya couldn't get the job because of what his father had done. I could see the reasoning (barely), but it wasn't fair to Tomoya. Maybe it is a Japanese/cultural thing?

The first time I watched this show, I was impressed by how much they make you love Tomoya and Nagisa as a couple. And yeah, that's going to be very important, whether you love them or not. As for Tomoya's job situation, I do believe that it's an east Asian cultural thing where family reputation is important for getting into schools and getting jobs. I agree it's completely unfair - you should be judged for your own actions, not someone else's, family or not - but I think Japanese audiences would have understood it. Regardless, you should take it as another wrench in the works that life and his father have thrown Tomoya.

I was wondering the same thing, My Friend. Maybe that's an accepted way of doing things in Japan? The sins of the father?

That would make sense. I was wondering if that was something that I just wasn't getting because I don't know the culture well enough.
