I'm glad that you find the fun and intrigue of these types of anime lad. I'm glad you have such an open and broad view of anime. To me this is THE best slice of life anime ever. Every slice of life anime could learn something from this legend. I'm glad you liked this series lad. Also thanks to Will for sponsoring the anime. I tip my hat to you sir.

This was my first slice of life experience awhile back. A certain feeling lingered on when it ended. It was such a bittersweet feeling that it lasted for awhile. It’s truly an amazing anime that will always stick with me. Currently watching Horimiya and going back to this felt awesome. Thanks Curtis! Love this journey we all can be on!

There are so many amazing things about this series. I love Taiga's character, the writing in general... Ryuji's relationship with his mom rivals the romance for me, which I also loved. Their interactions just feel so real, you know? :) It was fun going on this journey with you as you experienced it for the first time. And I echo the thank you to Will for sponsoring it!

(Coming back after finishing this to say Sorry it’s so long. I know you won’t mind, but if I write a whole peer reviewed thesis and don’t at least acknowledge it, i think it’s grounds for me to go to hell. Like as an atheist who doesn’t believe in it, I’m pretty sure the universe would be justified in creating a hell just so I can go there. At least now maybe it’ll think twice?) And here we are. Man this was such a great journey. It’s funny too, when you said at the beginning “they seem like they’d be good together” I was stunned, it really showed me just how well written the relationship is, back when I was still like “man I hope he likes this show” seeing that along with how much fun you were having made me realize like “yeah, this choice is gonna work out just like I hoped.” I couldn’t say it then and now I can because you finally know for a fact they end up together - that’s exactly why I love your reactions so much. When I watch the show the first time, I didn’t realize. Def part inexperience but also because you appreciate things on a deeper level than I can. As an older and more experienced individual, as a parent, as someone who knows sports, etc. An entirely new perspective, that always enhances whatever it’s experiencing. When I watch these reactions, I realize just how good these shows are. From the very first episode, you picked up on what the writing was -showing- you, not telling you, telling me it was -that- good from the very first reaction. For my personal experience, I would really be cheapening these to call them reactions, because it goes beyond just validation. When I first started watching you, it was on YouTube. The video I clicked on was you reacting to the ibiki test in chuunin exams. I’m thinking “huh, some boomer watches anime that barely knows about it? Should be a fun bit of time to kill.” Little did I know, lmao. At the time, I saw naruto as a “dumb” show, I guess. Even though it was literally my gateway anime I had “grown out” of it. Watched “Better” anime, like hunter x hunter and toradora. But when I ended up enjoying the rabbit hole of your reactions so much that I literally starting binging the naruto reactions, from the earliest vids I could find. Caught up at the sasuke retrieval arc, and watched daily From there. 2017 I think, I was working at Pizza Hut and I’d come home pretty much every day and watch in my car while I smoked. And you changed my whole perspective on the series. Sure, we could go into which anime is “technically” better. Plenty of people who sort of review anime and act as an authority in that respect that I watch before have. Talking about like plot holes, and badly written aspects. But you never go into a reaction looking for these things. Of course you may see them or acknowledge them, but you appreciate the good way more than the bad, and you -see- the good that I couldn’t see, even while rewatching it you were changing my perspective on things l thought you would react to differently (because that would conform to my preexisting opinion), or just adding so much value to certain aspects. For example, explaining how asuma’s death was more “tragic” than jiraiyas, an insight I am -literally- not wise enough to come up on my own and that I literally have never seen discussed before or since. While people were like “sakuras char sucks, sasuke is a dumb char, naruto is too stupid”, you were like “jiraiya managed to do what he felt he needed to do to get the leaf the information they needed to take on pein, fulfilling his goal and having a more satisfying end, while asuma still had so much to live for, with kurenai and his kid on the way”. I’m not sure how obvious that observation was for for you but it changed how I view death not just in media but in life. All from “some boomer” watching a “dumb” show about kid ninjas. Man was I dumb. From insights to just being like “I’m fucking jacked let’s go!” I turned from a kinda naruhater to a whole narutard. Started watching swagkage and seththeprogrammer and now no one can tell me shit about naruto, I’ll love that series till the day I die. It bears repeating that calling these vids “reactions” within the scope of my experience would really be cheapening the value that I get from them, because it goes so much beyond that. I watch stuff in a whole different way now. This is long winded enough, but all that is why even tho I don’t make the most money I can justify using the bonus + tax return from my shiny new corporate job to put aside 2600 dollars to sponser “reaction” videos. And damn was it fucking worth it. Toradora went from a really great show and probably my fave slice of life anime to one of THE best shows i feel like I’ve seen. And I’m probably riding that ending high but I’ll be damned if watching these “reactions” doesn’t produce an entirely new experience from me. It’s like watching toradora, but way better. And how do you get way better than toradora???? Basically, all in all what I’m trying to say is loved the reaction as always c: have a great night.

Wow! Thanks very much for all the kind words and that awesome post, My Friend! It’s always interesting for me, as well, to learn how something affected someone much younger than me when they originally viewed it!... And as far as Toradora, I can’t thank you enough for sponsoring that AMAZING show!! It is, most definitely, on my elite list of anime. I have found myself reflecting all day on that final episode, and the show in general... I imagine those fond memories will stay with me for a very long time!! 😊

Thanks Will for sponsoring the show! It's really one of the best slice of life genres. The show really portrayed what love really is. Who's your favorite character in this? Mine is Ami because as a reviewer once said, she's a puppetmaster who pulls the strings of others to break them out of their shells and find love. She too wished to be a puppet herself. Too bad Ami and Ryuuji wasn't a thing, but it's not like I didn't like the ending. I lost track of the amount of times I've seen this series after 20. This never gets old and the feels still pack a punch! Thanks again bro!
