I think Law takes the cake on who has the most FUBAR backstory. This episode got to me to such an extent, I needed a short break from binging it.

Yeah, Law is easily in the running for most tragic backstory in a series full of tragic backstories. I remember when watching this that when I saw Senior Pink I wondered, "A gangster suit? When and why did you decide on the fashion change?"

This may not be the saddest backstory but it's definitely the darkest one. You know, I'm starting to worry about the kind of shit Oda himself went through if he's able to even imagine some of these backstories. Especially the ones to come.
