I don't think I will ever forget that soundtrack, my brain put it in the same folder as the boku no pico opening. Gathering dust to this day lol.

In a way, this series makes me feel old. There was a time when no one could talk about the worst anime out there without School Days getting at least an honorable mention. It's like... the bad soap opera of anime. Most of what you see just feels like it was thrown together for shock value, and nothing represents that more than the ending. The thing is... I didn't like Makoto either, but he just felt immature to me. He was a kid who didn't know how to deal with his problems, so he ended up avoiding them and digging himself in deeper. It's not like he was some true evil mastermind. And so, to me, the ending isn't even that satisfying. I'm glad you got to see it... but I don't think I would have ever had the patience to sponsor it. ^^'

Yeah this definitely served as a cautionary tale for me to be an upstanding man. Also if I ever date a woman and she said she has watched this anime I need to run away as far and as fast as I can.

So I don't know much about this anime as it's one I was gonna watch but heard about the ending, and I hate bad endings, but I do know this is based off a Visual Novel, and that the anime decided to chose the bad ending of the game to make as an anime as opposed to one of the good ending of the game.

Yea, I don't think Makoto is meant to be portrayed as some evil guy. He was just a stupid teen who let his dick make decisions rather than his brain. I actually dropped this series halfway through the first time I watched it because the characters were feeling so unlikable at a point, then finished it when I saw people freaking out about it when the last episode dropped heh.

While I haven’t seen this reaction I do remember the ending, I think it was well deserved.

It’s definitely supposed to be vague if she was pregnant. But she would only be maybe a month in and you wouldn’t be able to tell physically anyway. I felt sorry for Sekai. She fucked up to but she did not deserve to die. And you stated what I always felt. This animated show from Japan was so realistic and even 15 years later if you heard about this happening on the news you would believe it.

"This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever watched." To that I say mission accomplished! The video games get much more disturbing believe it or not. I really enjoyed the soundtrack they used, particularly throughout this episode, always brings back traumatic memories :D. This show did exactly what it was trying to do and it did it well. It was a unique and a very enjoyable(in a masochistic way lmao) experience, and I'm glad Freddy and I were able to show you this series.
