I like that they mentioned Sendo's punches being stronger. Ippo, and Sendo are outliers in Featherweight for their power so it's nice that they aren't making each opponent just overall stronger than the last. It's technique and style differences as he goes forward. Ippo's power even caught Date off guard.

The corkscrew punch is an actual boxing technique, and its effective without being pinpoint accurate, although it isn't really a super weapon, just a move that can let you get past an opponents guard while also protecting your chin. I remember looking it up after first watching Hajime no Ippo.

Yea, even back in my day trainers would try to teach you to turn your fist upon impact. I know what they're doing here is a bit more corkscrew action, but it was the same principle. :-)
