Okay, Gang, I really need your guidance on something: I just watched what I thought was the first episode of Hajime No Ippo. The episode is listed as number one at Crunchy, and is titled, "The Strongest Challenger". It seemed like a reasonable first episode, but after finishing watching, I realized that it seems there are episodes from earlier in Ippo's life? Should I be watching the YouTube uploads?

It's all confusing, as there seems to be no official release points that carry this anime, which would lead me in the right direction. Can you guys guide me with directions on how to watch or a link that tells me the proper order? I'd really appreciate it.

I will lead off with this episode regardless, so you guys are on the same adventure with me, but I'll switch to earlier episodes after today if you guys show me a different order.

Thanks, Gang!

The best way is to just watch on crunchyroll tbh

Here, just no openings or endings https://animixplay.to/v4/4-hajime-no-ippo

The strongest challenger is the first episode of Season 3 not Season 1

The first season is The Fight (Fighting Spirit). Second season is New Challenger followed by Rising. There's OVA's in the mix, but don't start with New Challenger. Go with what Brother E posted. That's the first season.

I couldn't find S1 or S2 on crunchroll

Yeah Curtis you might just have to go with Youtube on this one. I took a look around and there doesn't seem to be any good websites that are legal to stream this from. I'm looking forward to you reacting to this series I'm sure you'll enjoy it :)

Don’t know about online, but i can offer archived files

Agreed on the order. Dont forget episode 76 which is technically an OVA/extra episode. Not sure how Curtis wants to handle the movie/ova but they are canon and as integral to the story as episodes.

Oh ok I see the problem curtis, you didn't pick the right condom sizes old man, ok what you need to do is go into a gay sex club and go in the back....wait? "THE FUCK"!?!?

Brother E got it covered.... Unfortunately, the creator of the show is not the biggest fan expanding his shows popularity by allowing it to air and even publish his manga outside Japan.... so crunchyroll or vrv is a no go. The good news and i Mean good news is that episode 1 season 3 is just Ippo backstory ep so doesn't spoil much

Breaks my heart lol Ippo and Kingdom both deserve English releases. I would literally end up buying every volume but I mean that’s morikawa’s prerogative as creator but it sucks my favorite series I can’t support properly

Daniel Gonzalez

That sucks i know one of my friends loves the show even tho hes not really into anime (thinks itd take up too much of his time) for me the show id love to have but goddamn Harmony Gold wont let me (just to peddle their Roboshit) is Macross it shouldve been as well known as Gundam but no thanks to some greedy assholes

IzzO

what makes that less legal than YT? lol :P

Well he wants to use "official sources" to able to watch the anime right? Trouble is with some anime good fucking luck like someday it'd be awesome to watch him reacting to Sakigake!! Otokojuku but where the hell would find a paid streaming service to watch that on? Sometimes you just got to go to Youtube it may be a bit shady but what else are you going to do?
