It's actually the real fruit. When he said it's been reproduced it means the fruit naturally respawns after its user dies. This isn't a fake fruit made by SMILE. I thought it'd point that out since ''reproduced'' can be interpreted the wrong way in that instance.

The flare flare fruit is real, sad can only create fake zoan type fruits, by reproduced he just meant that after ace died it reappeared in the world. Only one fruit of qa certain type exists in the world at once (so no one will be able to get gum gum powers untill luffy dies, then the fruit will reapear somewhere int he world) so doffy just used his underground resources to find the flare flare fruit when it reapered.

just to clear up some stuff. Ace's devil fruit wasnt created by Doflamingo, when a devil fruit user dies their fruit is reincarnated into another fruit, i think you missed it but this happened when Smiley died and became shirokuni, we see an apple turn blue and develop the swirl pattern typical of devil fruits, this is because Smiley's sentience come from Ceaser feeding the toxic gas that flooded punk hazard afte the explosion a devil fruit (in the Q&A segment of the manga volumes Oda revealed it was the Zoan Type: Sara Sara no mi: model Axolotl) the fake devil fruits are the ones that look like apples covered in yellow smiley faces

In addition to what was clarified above, it's not possible for Luffy to combine the gum gum fruit with the flare flare fruit because you can only eat one devil fruit. I believe it was mentioned in the Marineford war when Blackbeard stole Whitebeard's power that it's normally impossible get 2 powers because eating a 2nd devil fruit would kill the user.

Idk if anyone has ever mentioned this to you when watching the series, but WHENEVER Luffy says “You seem/look strong” to a character, that should be noted as a person you want to keep an eye on as Luffy is always keen on sensing a person’s power level. Similarly to how people in DBZ can sense other people’s power, Luffy can basically do the same thing. It’s kind of because of his Observation Haki, but I believe there’s more to it than has been mentioned yet.

Unfortunately, Dressrosa is when the filler parts REALLY start to pile on, and not in a good way, so here goes: The part where Fujitora cuts the people he wishes to use his gravity power on is 100% filler. He does have a habit of (often partially) drawing and sheathing his sword when he uses his power, but cutting people is not a requirement. Nor does it make any sense whatsoever for him to do so. If he had cut them, he wouldn't have needed to use his power on them (due to them being cut, duh). I guess some animator thought it would be cool and completely forgot how nonsensical that makes everything. It's like in Jurassic World 2, when they use a gun (!) to sicc a dinosaur on people. If you've got someone you can shoot, why sicc a dino on them, they'd be dead if you just shot a bullet... Literal idiocy xD

it's less so that luffy can tell whether or not someone is strong any better than most people, it's just that if someone is so strong that even luffy can tell, they ARE to be taken seriously.

Adding on to the conversation about devil fruits, it makes you wonder about all of the people who have devil fruit powers. Are they the first to have that particular one and if not I wonder what kind of people had their powers before them. Like I wonder if there were any previous rubber men and if maybe people look at the power of the fruits based on how they were used by people in the past, for example blackbeard knew he wanted the dark-dark fruit but I wonder if it was because someone who had it did some crazy stuff with it.

You can't have 2 devil fruit powers. If you eat a second one, you die. That's been established since Enies Lobby, and it's what makes Blackbeard so unique. No one really knows why he can hold 2 powers, though it's been hinted that "his body is different" and that his old crew (Marco & co.) have an inkling of what's going on.

Spoilers(?) There is 1 concrete example of a previous power holder of a fruit that we know of in the manga. There are also a bunch of interesting theories regarding why, even though devil fruits have probably been around for a long time, the number of power users has only gone up in the last few decades. On Roger's ship, Buggy was probably the only power holder, and in the flashback scene, his crew didn't really know if eating such a fruit would really have any results. But devil fruits most likely didn't just appear out of nowhere some 20+ years ago ;)

Spoilers: If I remember correctly there are two instances currently in the manga (three if you now count ace) of devil fruits having previous owners, we've met one of them and will meet another shortly.

People often misinterpret that, JW2 had its dumb issues but thats not one of them. The gun was supposed to POINT the dino in the right direction, say a bunker. You don't need to point it directly at a person, that was just used as a demonstration xD

Luffy kind of combined Ace's fire on one of his attacks lad, the red hawk. Also I know it's something that would be cool but it ain't happening lad with Luffy himself eating Ace's fruit, he's not Blackbeard, he would die but it's still a pretty cool idea. Lastly I'm going to save my argument with Zoro's worthiness of shusui until the Wano Arc. Everyone please shut up and then we can debate that when Curtis gets to that Arc.

Buckle in, you're in for yet another ride of your life. From here on out, there will be no more Little Caesars blocking Luffy's way. Just a never ending line of Mike Tysons and Chuck Norrises that seem to just get bigger and bigger. I just wonder if Luffy will become King of the Pirates before Usopp, Nami and Chopper all have heart attacks from stress and fear.

I know you're very set on one episode a day with One Piece, and as awful as the pacing is in the anime I never really had a problem with it. But if there was any arc I wish you could pull off two episodes at a time it would be this one. Seems to move at a snail's pace😭😭😭😭 still great reactions as always.

I know, and I have no problem with the concept. It's the execution that was dumb. If want to visualize a concept, using a deadly weapon to show its effect is not a good idea. If they had used a laser pointer that makes noise to demonstrate that dinos can be trained, it would have been fine. Instead they used a gun with a laser scope. That's the issue I have with it. Just like Fujitora, where they decided it was somehow better to cut people in order to demonstrate his power. An unnecessary step and the inclusion of a deadly weapon in order to demonstrate a concept where no weapon is required. Though to be fair, I was never that bothered by the JW2 thing, it's just the next-best thing I thought of to make a comparison ;)
