Escanor, the ultimate chad, so long as the sun is up.

Miklar Sihn

I love that the reason Escanor stays back is that he would destroy the town if he returned to help. Also, nothing shows how badass he is better than the "Who decided that?" moment... Maybe the part where he talked about this being his own strength, so ofcourse it hurt.

Escanor “that’s it say my name b*tch”

I wasn't sure at first, but I now I'm sure you missed a key dialogue last episode when Meliodas was in Purgatory. That shadowy figure called him "my son" right before Meliodas rushed at him, ending the scene.

💥Details: Zeldris & Estarossa (No Spoilers)💥 Zeldris: The youngest brother of Meliodas and the Commandment of Piety. He is the Demon King's representative, so anyone who turns their backs to him, becomes slaves to the Demon King. He is the defacto leader of the Ten Commandments but defers to his older brother Estarossa, as he is extremely strong. Estarossa: The Middle Brother who always looked up to Meliodas. He has the Commandment of "Love" and any who stand before him with hatred in their hearts, lose their ability to inflict harm on others. His Magical Darkness is particularly powerful among the Ten Commandments and his Magical Ability is "Full Counter" just like the brother who he idolized, only it reflects physical attacks instead of magical attacks and is a poor imitation of the original, as he cannot use Meliodas's other techniques like: 1. Counter Vanish 2. Revenge Counter 3. Lostvayne Clone Counter Note: Every Commandment has a Magical Ability, in addition to the curses bestowed by the Demon King. We currently know of 3: Galand- (Maximum Over) Boosts his physical strength to his body's limit. Deiri- (Combo Star) Landing consecutive punches increases their power and weight to an infinite amount. Estarossa- (Full Counter) Reflects physical attacks at double the damage.

But does he mean that literally or like an old timer telling a young whippersnapper now listen here son cause if its the former then wouldnt that make the others his children too unless they only share one parent

i cant get over how badass escanor is: this golden bastard just slow walks up to you, gets in your face, has an unconcerned look on his face the whole time. and once again, casually drops 2 commandments! all things stand beneath the sun, where they belong.

JTUltima

Meliodas is only CLOSELY related to Zeldris and Estarossa so no the others would not be related to him. That's like saying I'm your brother because we're both humans. Also you would definitely not use "MY son" when talking to someone who's not your son

Does anyone else imagine themselves as a badass like Escanor when jamming out to their music?

Lewd Angel

Fun fact that not a lot of people caught at this point Curtis: Do you remember the wanted posters for the sins, and how a lot of them didn't really match the look of the Seven Deadly Sins, beyond perhaps some of the most basic features like hairstyles? Well if you compare it, Estarossa looks almost exactly like Meliodas' wanted poster. He's also got a very similar ability to Meliodas', exception being Meliodas reflects Magic attacks, Estarossa reflects physical attacks. Don't overthink it too much, but its an interesting little detail.

And for the third time this season, Escanor bodies two commandments at once. First Galand and Meleascula, than Drole/Gloxinia, and now the strongest two, Zel and Esta. The man gives no fucks. Praise be to Big Daddy Sunshine. I won't say much about it, but Elizabeth is not an archangel. Though I will say she's certainly WAY stronger than sword bitch Nerobasta.

Not sure I agree with Zeldris 'deferring' to Estarossa, so much as valuing his opinion as both the strongest commandment and his brother. I don't remember Zel ever changing his course of action because Estarossa disagreed, though I'll be the first to admit I don't remember the smaller moments as well as I'd like so i could be wrong. Also, was it ever said that Estarossa's fully counter was definitively weaker than Meliodas'? It doesn't get the screen time of Meliodas', so I feel like it we can't really assume that his is weaker just because he hasn't shown those powers. Revenge counter is a huge double edged sword, and he's never needed to use something like that, Lostvayne's clones are a byproduct of Meliodas' sacred treasure, so naturally, Estarossa can't use those, but I'm not sure about Counter Vanish. After all, there's a case to be made for Estarossa being able to deflect magical melee attacks (See: This episode, he reflects Escanor's swing and it engulfs Escanor in a fireball) so if Meliodas' Revenge counter is the same way, Estarossa using Counter Vanish to nullify it during the fight against the commandments would be perfectly feasible. Of course, it's not a sure thing, since there's also a case to be made that Meliodas was just stricken with the commandment and lost the ability to fight back, but the energy of the attack just disappeared, which fits what we know about Counter Vanish, so... But if I missed something, let me know, because i'm legitimately curious if I did.

Ah the "who decided that" episode my favorite

@Harold... Estarossa- (Full Counter) Blocks and reflects pure physical damage, which can also be achieved by swordsmanship. Meliodas- (Full Counter) Blocks and Reflects Magic Attacks, which cannot be achieved by swordsmanship. Revenge Counter: The Magic Ability removes defense and makes it so you CAN'T use Full Counter or Darkness. You have to tank it all and the magic is stored and multiplied in your body. Estarossa CAN'T use this variation, as physical attacks would kill him, chopping his body to pieces. Counter Vanish: The technique is an early activation of Full Counter, resulting in an equal and opposite magic attack to cancel each other out. Estarossa's adaptation could be used for perfect parries or to fight barehanded. Meliodas' Final Attack: When Meliodas used his Revenge Counter, he was targeting the other Ten Commandments, including Fraudrin. As the Dragon Sin of Wrath, him feeling rage is normal and the druids stated that his wrath actually increased to the level that he can no longer explode in a fit of fury, after seeing Liz get murdered thousands of times. When Estarossa jumped in front of Meliodas, his Commandment of Love caused Meliodas to be unable to inflict harm on others. This is also why Ban couldn't choke Estarossa, even after he used Physical Hunt.
