I think the idea of the bandit girl wanting to become a maid is rather interesting. Considering that in a lot of Feudal societies like the kind you find in typical fantasy settings, banditry is seen as being something akin to freedom. When you reject society's laws and live outside of it, the only laws you follow are those you set for yourself. Yet by the looks of things this girl has realized that, that way of life isn't really freedom. Clearly she can't do as she pleases without risk of getting caught. So being able to choose another life altogether would be the ultimate freedom.

just look at one piece for example, people become pirates to find freedom, but unless you're top dog, you're always bending the knee to, running away from or getting killed by those stronger than yourself. being a king in hell isn't always better than getting to serve in heaven.
