Thorfinn is naturally talented, but wears his heart on his sleeve and lets his emotions control him (I mean, his whole motivation is revenge). Askeladd uses his head when dealing with problems, and knows exactly how to push Thorfinn's buttons. Bad match up for Thorfinn.

Redemption

I hate Floki the most, Askeladd did it for money and intrigue, in a world where it was a lot easier to die or worse. Floki did it for a not full known reason but Askeladd when he received the task voiced some guesses with Bjorn. The King wanted Thors and sent Floki to get him. Then Floki after threatening Thors to join puts a hit out on him when he joined. I want Thorfinn to find out to see what he thinks. Oh, and Floki was a past comrade to Thors.

One of the things that strikes me the most with the last few episodes is just how much askeladds team has started respecting thorfinn. He's gone from them giving him left over scraps for food and laughing and mocking his weakness's to now legitimately cheering him on in his fight vs askeladd. It just amazes me how much you can despise people for what they did to his dad, to them almost having become his family at this point.

Thorfinn: You killed my father! Askeladd: Do you have any idea, how little that narrows it down? Also that exchange between Thorfinn and Hordaland is something that I really wish they revisit at some point. Like they meet up a few years later and it turns out that Hordaland actually took his advice. Those of you who read the manga will know why I want to see this encounter.

Ironically, when Thorfinn says he doesn't know how a slave feels, you could say he's a slave to his revenge. Askeladd: He doesn't realize it himself, but everyone is a slave to something.

I remember the first time I watched this episode, (like one week ago haha) and I got to the end with this crazy guy and was like his voice, that can't be . . . is it? I looked it up and yep, it sure is. The voice of One Piece's Blackbeard!!!!
