Hendrickson’s motive is still kind of a mystery to me, but a fascinating one. He’s a Druid, one of the worshippers of the goddess clan, the arch enemy of the demon clan. Yet he seeks to revive that very enemy. Why? He seems to think that the coming holy war is unavoidable, and wants to start it preemptively on his own terms. Fair enough, I suppose, but I still find it hard to believe that one so devoted to the goddesses would participate in any kind of revival. He also seems to have a weird fascination and even respect for the demon race and their power as a whole. Stranger still when you consider that his plan has been in the works since the first red demon was discovered and researched 20 years ago, despite him being a kind and honorable person before. Even if the goal was the demons’ destruction, it seems to me that convincing your best friend to help you kill the leader of your order, then framing the group who would probably be the biggest help in that war only benefits the demons. Because we can do clearly see the demons’ influence taking over Hendrickson now, one has to wonder if his plan to resurrect and destroy the demon clan was ever really his idea, or if he was simply a tool of the demons the whole time.

Damn, Elizabeth loses her pet pig, but at least she awakens her Mangekyo Sharigan, which is definitely a better trade than anyone else, given they have to kill their best friends. The red demon Hendrickson used in his experiments is the same one that killed Elaine and burned down the forest in Ban's flashback. So yeah, Ban did, in fact, kill that fat slob. And that's why Ban took a moment out of his busy day of murdering Hendrickson and trying to murder Meliodas to mutilate the corpse a bit. Also, I'm curious if you noticed that the purple haired girl who was watching the battle from afar was Elizabeth's sister who got blown up a while back. Somehow I missed that my first time through.

@Curtis... Meliodas has been getting bodied ever since he got to the Kingdom. 1. Hendrickson 2. Gilthunder 3. Vivian (Mage) 4. Ban 5. Red Demon Hendrickson 6. Grey Demon Hendrickson Now he finally got healed by Elizabeth, so him caving in Hendrickson's chest with one blow is understandable.

Hendrickson doesn't know about the Demon Blood using the human as a host and giving itself a parasitic form of life, as Ban was the only one to rip it out. He simply believes that a person assimilates the blood into their own being and that the weak-willed can be put into a temporary berserker state by agitating the blood. He is fascinated by the Demon Power because he has no access to the Goddess power. If Ban had killed an Angel, then I am sure that Hendrickson would have done the same thing.
