This episode reminds me of a classic horror film where everybody slowly starts turning against the protagonist

I think the reason people dislike the fullbring arc is because its rushed. Anyway i just finished the full bring arc less than a month ago and I'm with you on digging it Curtis, i love how its more of a mystery arc than "imma hit you harder with my attack until it works."

I said this once before but i'm just repeating it because you mention it again. This arc is rushed and you'll understand what I mean when you've finished it. I know you're ahead (I'm not sure by how much now) but the ending feels more rushed than the rest. Also, the amount of story Kubo (the author) cut from this arc is depressing because it's good stuff. The entire Fullbringer history is pretty much cut out and it's never really explained what their role is in the Bleach universe when originally they were supposed to play a much bigger role. I think some of it even connected to Kaname's (noose neck) back story and why he hated the Shinigami and was willing to join Aizen. This arc was originally supposed to get into the whole story about the last substitute Shinigami before Ichigo but it was cut out because of rushing things. The motivation for the big baddy in this arc will make you think "Whoah buddy, kind of over-reacting aren't you?" but it only seems that way because so much of the story was cut out. You'll see what I mean when you finish this arc.

Oh, i forgot to say.. This arc isn't bad at all. There is some really good stuff in it but I suspect you'll understand in the end why fans usually think it's the worst arc.

This arc definitely has issues but I think it's placed under such a huge lens compared to every other story in bleach. It has a few pacing issues around the middle, but I think from this point onwards, it's pretty damn stellar. Idk man, I like it. No other arc has exciting "oh shit" moments quite like the end of this episodes, and in many episodes going forward.

I think too many people overly hate on this arc and try to downplay every aspect of it when really it was just rushed abit.

Also nice touch of this being a remix of the song "number one" which is the song that played when Ichigo first became a reaper in episode 1. Now he is getting a sword again for the first time again so they remixed it.

This arc was rushed. No argument there. But many see ichigo freaking out here as uncharacteristic of him, but if you understand who Ichigo is and why he has acted the way he has so far. Then we can understand why Ichigo is freaking out. His friends and family have always been the source of his pride, motivation, and identity. Ichigo lives to protect them, that is who he is. To suddenly be put in opposition to them, when during this entire arc so far he only went through the process to regain his powers because of his friends and family. It makes complete sense why he lost his cool.

Ya, I see that alot too. This arc is very important though as it finally leads the way towards understanding where ichigo's powers came from and his unique lineage.
