Just wanted to mention before I head out today that, when I get back from vacation, we'll be starting the process of selecting the series that will succeed Bleach, so start considering what you'd most like to see next.  :-)

For those who are new here, what we do is, I'll post a thread asking for nominations. In that thread, post what you'd like to see or, if someone else already posted it, just give a "Heart" to that post. Then I'll take some of the more highly supported series and put them into a poll where you guys vote and the winner becomes our next series.

It's all usually a lot of fun!  :-)

PS: Just as a heads-up, so no one feels like they were wrongly left out, the nomination thread and poll go up at the Sparrow level and above. This is only because I put in the vids at the Fledglings level and, of course, the Sparrows and higher will be the ones watching the new series anyway.  :-)

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, it’s a comedy that has humor that’s very different from most anime humor, but in a really good way :)

SpazBoysComedy

Just a heads-up, Gang: I know some people only read the titles before commenting, but this thread is just letting you know that, as soon as I get back, we’ll be picking a new series. This IS NOT the official nominations thread. 😊

I'm hoping this doesn't mean that after Aizen you'll be done with Bleach cause there's still a decent amount of episodes left. The Zanpakto arc is really good and I highly recommend that you react to it as I would love to see what you think about all the good fights within it. Having said that I recommend that you check out Death Note unless you've already seen it.

Watch the konosuba movie, then finish other isekais like re:zero and shield hero so you can watch isekai quartet

Dark Nephthys

Yes definitely lol. I think he reacted to episode 1 like a year or so ago and enjoyed it, I think its time for him to actually react to it completely.

Anonymous

rwby, i was not here for your first reaction to it, but wat i know is, that you stil need alot of seosons C:

Chris Johnson

Gintama, this series is totally up your alley.

Aidan

I really like Toriko so I recommend that. If we're sticking to a long series after bleach then Toriko is the way to go

Anonymous

id be cool with you going full metal alchemist id like that every day would not take long to finish the series and i wouldn't have to sponsor it lol. but shhh i do not have arterial motives

Brandon Nowakowski

If it's a new long-runner, then I think it's time for Hajime no Ippo. It's right up Curtis' alley.

SL

I'll be praying we can finally get Gintama on one of these polls

Fate/Zero, Psycho Pass, Vinland Saga, Parasyte. Or, if you want to get into the Halloween spirit and want to watch some horror anime I'd recommend checking out Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (When they Cry)

Mihai Alexandru Untu

Monster. Although I doubt your fanbase consisting of mostly 14 year olds ever heard of this anime. It's considered to be a legendary anime by elitists so I recommend it to you, even if you don't record reactions to it, you can just watch it in your free time. I'm sure you'd love it.

Lewd Angel

Gotta recommend Shield Hero now that you've seen the pilot episode. its 24 eps i think so i highly doubt we'll get the entire show sponsored, and it'd take a long time, so im hoping we can get it transfered to the regular series

Blake Lesch

Wolf's Rain Main character is voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch.

So pretty sure this isnt the thread he was talking about but everyone else is shouting stuff out and i can too Cautious Hero its 12 episodes and has some really good "plot" ( huehehehe) and a longer shot since i dont think its even available anywhere Katanagatari

AyBe

God of Highschool!

PKKite

Wait so your almost done with the last arc of bleach because that is cannon and not filler. Aizen is only Ichigos Mmidpoint villan he still has 1 more in the anime and another in the manga that will be a part of the new anime continuation. Aizen is basically the Orochimauru of Bleach for a comparison.

Yuion

Just for the humor in golden kamuy im supporting your suggestion

Godhand5

Psychopass

Chandler LaDeau

Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple. (pls, I don't wanna sponsor that, it's 52 episodes, that'll take, like, 5 years lmao)

mattnux

Kenichi is excellent... way funnier in English dub IMO. Right up your alley with lots of brawls!

Anonymous

Looks like a lot of people have a lot of good ideas, from the ones other have already mentioned I'd go with Hajime no Ippo or Rurouni Kenshin since I know you'll end up loving the characters in those shows. I'll put in a couple of little wildcard suggestionss of my own that probably wont get much traction on the votes, but they are great series and it might get other Gooshers to give them a try and be voted in future polls and they are Rainbow: Nisha Rokubo no Shichinin and Niju Menso no Musume.

I'd really love it if Haikyu became a daily series. It's so good! You're already far enough along that it's in the really good stuff. And since the 2nd half of season 4 starts next week, you wouldn't be missing anything.

"Higurashi no naku koro ni" (english titel: When They Cry) is a classic and something entirely different from pretty much anything, we have watched here so far. It's more of a horror mystery show and has a lot of mind fucks in it. ;)

Anonymous

Rurouni kenshin! One of my all time favorites

Xellon

Just to throw some ideas in here: Long shonen series' that are still missing are Fairy Tail, D.Gray-Man and Inuyasha. Comedy stuff that I would love to see are Grand Blue and Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. Sport shows: Kuroko no Basket or giving Haikyuu! a full slot! =) Then I think really fun short shows would be Kakegurui and Made in Abyss. Aww man there are still so many fun things for Curtis to see :D

Magi definitely. I forgot it existed

Rurouni Kenshin and Cowboy Bebop movie reaction are my recommends. I'd really like to see the Cowboy Bebop movie reaction some time, kind of sad you watched the series last year and didn't like it enough or didn't have time to watch the movie as well. As far as series go, maybe Rurouni Kenshin if you want another shounen series to replace Bleach but, Kenshin only really has 60 or so episodes of canon material (and 1 really great arc taking up around 40 episodes of the series), but it's a really good classic shounen and has a good dub (it's a mid-late 90s series but it has really great artwork)

Anonymous

Neon Genesis Evangelion is another classic, very interesting 26 episode series with a movie that actually wraps up the show instead of just the 26 episodes (people say the show had budget problems towards the end or the staff didn't have the time or resources to wrap up the series in a more climactic way so, the series got immensely popular and they decided to make a movie to wrap up the series in a more "proper" way). A keyword people like to use for Evangelion is "mind fuck"

Anonymous

I was hoping Kenshin would fair better but I think people want to see more modern shows

Anonymous

Initial D is another fun one that literally no one has ever reacted to :(

Anonymous

I'd still like to see a reaction to Beelzebub, as there's literally no reaction video of it (that I've found, at least) and I believe it'd be some good and silly fun for us.

Ali6B

It's about time Hajime No Ippo got some love around here. Great characters, great fights, good comedy and I think Curtis would really appreciate it

Just my 2 cents and not trying to detract anything but, I like Gintama but would prefer to see some shorter series knocked out first. Coming off Bleach and still in the middle of One Piece which are both incredibly long winded - Wouldn't mind seeing some more 1-3 season shows before setting off on another 350 episode series like Gintama

Anonymous

Gintama!

Tony Gilbert King

He's already seen death note and he's ahead of the current reactions because of his holiday tri so he's probably already watching the next arc of bleach

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

Dandy

First, I'll recommend Drifters. It's a short series done by the same studio that made Hellsing: Ultimate and it's effectively a large scale war with a bunch of different major historical warriors/leaders thrown into an alternate fantasy world. There's just one season, the show itself isn't completed, but it is a fun and enjoyable ride that I think would be right up Curtis' alley.

Dandy

Second, Wotakoi: Love is Hard for an Otaku, is a great series about young, working adults and their lighthearted and confusing stumble through love in a post-youth and work-heavy world. There's currently only one season, (but I believe there may have been another season announced for next year?) so it would also be a brief watch. I know slice of life/romance animes aren't the most popular here at the Goosh, but I definitely think this one is lighthearted and funny enough for those who aren't big fans of the genre.

Dandy

And last is Jormungand, a show about an international arms dealers and her crew of hired mercenaries-turned-bodyguards and their global conquest to see their leaders vision through, even though it means selling weapons and death to thousands. Plenty of action, pretty good characters and only 12 episodes, so another brief watch that'll put us right up for another show in just 2 weeks time!
