Yeah Curtis, I think you are going to like Riruka. She is a fun character :)

I'm probably the minority, but I really like this arc. I get the complainants about it, don't get me wrong, but I like all the character that get introduced with one notable exception, I love them expanding on something besides soul reapers, the powers they introduce are really cool, and I'm a big fan of when anime give you a breather arc between massive story arcs. Aizen was a monster, and all too often, the next arc would be 'yo, this next guy makes Aizen look like fodder. Ichigo, we need you.'. But that's not the case. No one in this arc is even relevant in comparison to Aizen. Hell, I'm about 99% Stark would solo all of Xcution without even trying. I get that it kinda feels like a filler-y arc in between the behemoths of Fake Karakura and Blood War arc, but it at least expands the universe as a whole.

Naa, I agree. This arc sucked for the on my first readthrough of Bleach, but on subsequent ones I've actually realized that this might be one of the best arcs of Bleach. The existential horror + low power-level of the characters fit perfectly.
