Ah, no. Him saving her happened in this world line so it isn't strange at all she would remember that. The response to being called Assistant however is definitely latent memories from other world lines bubbling up to the surface in her words or at least clearly there in the subconsious.

The anime goes for the 'true ending'. The saving of Makise Kurisu and reaching the Steins;Gate world line. In Visual Novel you have to make 5 "correct" choices to reach this point. On the other hand, if you want to reach Mayushi's ending you can't make any of those 5 choices! So it's hard to get either 0/5 or 5/5 for those two endings, I needed to look up guide to reach both of those, and still failed once or twice and triggered 1-3 "flags" 😅
