I always get hyped at that moment when Luffy dodges the Pacifista’s attack. The way he just casually tilts his head to side it, distinctively reminds me so much of when Goku in the Namek arc meets Frieza and dodges his Death Beams like they were nothing. It’s the same exact vibe with this scene. The protagonist has just reached another level of badassery you can’t help but get psyched.

I like the bit where Fat Moe hits the fake Luffy and refers to him as "scum" it does show that despite being enemies, Fat Moe respects Luffy for his strength and for not being a bloodthirsty killer like most other pirates.

If you noticed Luffy doesn't need to go into the Gear 2 pose anymore,he can do it with his arm which is way faster and leaves him less vulnerable

I always get super nostalgic for this episode and the next just remembering having to wait for it week to week was heartbreaking 😂 I loved that it gave a glimpse at the new strength they have but not enough too understand the magnitude of just HOW much more too keep you guessing , I loved that Luffy has now gained his confidence back in his strength that he tells the right hand man of Roger himself that he will be king it was quite a powerful moment ... This fucking anime man

Sanji doesn't actually need to spin anymore to activate Diable Jambe. The showrunners just didn't know about it at this point so they added a short spinning scene. And Luffy has learned his lesson and has stopped using gear second for extended periods, instead using it for single attacks in order to minimize the strain on his body. Nice 👍

One thing you always gotta keep in mind, no matter how easily they wiped out the Pacifistas, there are monsters in the New World that are above and beyond what the Straw Hats have encountered, its the domain of the 4 Emperors as well. The anime just barely keeps that tiny hint of dread in the back of your mind of whats to come

Fake Luffy may have only had a 26mil bounty, but keep in mind that isnt that low. For context, arlong had only a 20mil bounty. Its cool how the enemies level up to the point that something that used to be a force to be reckoned with is now a literal joke.

The way Luffy just simply dodges those lazer beams with just three little moves of the shoulders is just so badass! That part always gives me chills! And I also like how he goes into second gear by using his arm instead of his legs. The anime decided to make the pump action in his arm and keep his whole body in that second gear state, where in the manga he just sticks his arm out with a sound effect of "vrooom" showing only his left arm going into second gear while the rest of is body is normal. Just a fun little tidbit.

Only a year and a half essentially? I'm surprised how fast he's going through these tbh. I like it though, since some of my favorite moments of the series are post time-skip.
