What I’ve always liked about Bleach is how it takes a lot of inspiration from Yu Yu Hakusho. The world itself is based on ghost and spirits just like Yu Yu. The main character Ichigo definitely resembles Yusuke, personality wise as the MC of the series. You can see how Kubo took inspiration from that series

Curtis no offense bud but I gotta ask you do pay attention to what they say? I mean I know you get distracted with Rangiku's assets but just curious to know. Not throwing hate or shade. Just curious, but I can't blame you if you do get distracted. Who wouldn't?

Whenever we pan over to Rangiku I personally lose consciousness and am sent into a comatose state only to be awakened with copious amounts of smelling salts. It is definitely a hard task to stay focused.

Risking the lives of 3 of their most important fighters by sending them into a battle zone against an unknown number of enemies potentially chaperoned by 1 or more former captains. They decide to put a limiter on their power that needs this amount of time for outside approval for release. If aizen, gin, or Tosen had shown up or number 6 had gone all out every single person in that city could be dead in an instant. Bleach continues to amaze at the writers ability to imitate the risky or outright dumb political decisions we see in our everyday lives.

A neat detail about those marks on the chest, is that they're the flowers that are associated with each squad. That's why Rangiku's and Toshiro's were the same, but Renji's was different
