Damn, Bleach does a GREAT job of setting up the fights! I have my concerns that Chad can whip a Captain, but I'm anxious to see!

That little girl was his lieutenant. They were basically setting up the fact that she looked up to him and saw him as a father figure. Possibly also more than that.

Just incase you missed the facial features on the editing run, that is spike, you can see it from the face and the smile. We have yet to see byakuya kuchiki smile.

I really like the group dynamics of the captain that is being setup vs chad and his lieutenant. We have the deeply relaxed slacker captain and his lieutenant who is really uptight. I can just see how relaxed his life must be and how hard she has to work.

Don’t assume that Spike is less powerful than Brother Kuchiki. They are both Captains.

Calling Toshiro little whitey is an even more appropriate nickname than Mr. Chill, since the 'shiro' in his name literally means white.

Although it is still possible, I want to remind you that Aizen/Clark Kent was a captain, meaning he was probably pretty powerful. So it'd be hard for one of ichigo's crew to do that to him, let alone do it without anyone having noticed it.

I think Shunsui (the guy who is about to fight Chad) is the most laid back Captain. He is also womanizer so I wonder how Nanao accepted the lieutenant position... And that is Kenpachi (Spike) there waiting for Ichigo

If I remember correctly she's also VP of the Soul Reaper Womens Association and has to take care of all the responsibilities of the president because she doesn't really care either. Nanao is one hard-working DOB

I love they build up the captains. Based on Brother coochie small show of power and the lieutenants already being tough, we know the captains are major league bad asses, even if we haven't seen them go all out yet.

About Hanataro and the 'energy pills'. I don't think they ever say if they were real or not. But the way i interpreted it was they are real, but Hanataro (even when full of energy) always looks and sounds like that. Kind of like Droopy the Dog.
