Oof! While I can see both Wolfwood's and Vash's take, I think God-Boy made the right call, given the situation.

Maybe Elon Musk could start making and selling those crosses, didn't he make flamethrower?

The main argument Vash and Meryl had was we see the kid did had mental trauma from losing parents he cares about in his subconscious due to nightmares. We dont know if this is due to Legato and thus why he became one of the gunsman or if it was a previous trauma. Meryl and Vash were trying to work this point with Vash only being shot in the shoulder then having him hesitate to shoot again as vash got closer. Wolfwood took this as a kill opening rather than a opening of some kind understanding. Vash also knew there was something wrong with the worms that wasnt natural so he didn't want to kill them either. It's like killing abunch of animals who are being controlled rather than the origin of the problem. While the animals have no say. Vash def has sound reasonings but like always his choices are harder than just killing not only for the risk to himself but others if they don't workout. It becomes a ordeal of thinking the ifs and whys before coming to a conclusion vs coming to conclusion with bullet. For example wolfwood would have killed the men who thought he and Vash were part of the guncrew then would have had no access to town for the kids unless many more were killed in said town. While Vash chose to try to come to talks and with terrible odds. Him saving the man who accused them showed to him they weren't part of the guncrew and they werent using the kids so everyone got access. And although not spot on the towns men were correct in thinking there was someone at the kids camp using them as a cover.

Normally, I’d say don’t give Elon any ideas, but a cross gun is so cool, I say turn him loose! 😄

Also did you notice what apple man was carrying?

Vash, willing to let you live even though you've killed and are still willing to kill countless others. Cant lie that's the one thing that annoyed me about vash when I first watched it but you also have to admire his tenacity

I hate when autocorrect "fixes" my " mistakes" sound seasonings makes me think if vash was in food wars

The question that this episode asks at the end is can you build a peaceful society on blood? If the society or place is an end in which people live in harmony, then can you use unharmonious means to reach that end? In another sense, we have consistently called Vash Idealistic; however, he has tried to effect material and cultural change by understanding you can't force peace, that you must show peace is possible. Or maybe I shouldn't try to look too deeply in what may as well be a puddle of moral philosophy.

As I'm getting further towards the finish here, I'm fascinated by the moral dilemmas, indeed the philosophies and the overall intensity!

It finally came back to me. I've been wondering this whole time why I only remembered the end parts of Trigun. The episodic style and Vash's unwavering pacifism towards people who have murdered dozens and if he doesn't get through to them both he or anyone else will die. He just got annoying. I am a pacifist, I highly prefer talking anything over but it becomes a point where someone has already killed, perhaps multiple people, is threatening to kill others and you just want to save everyone. that's what gets everyone killed. He's also just fine taking any abuse and being beaten up and threatened at gunpoint by people he's trying to help, then after they kick his ass and they get half their people killed, hes cool forgiving them for beating him for no reason and openly jokes with them like old friends. Started happening a few episodes ago. It's making me sick. Grow a pair, if you're powerful and you can save these peoples lives then do it. Whether they want you to or not. If theyre gonna end up dead without you why just stand there and let them beat your ass in ignorance?
