Every time we come to an end of a OP arc, I'm feeling jacked up, emotional and charged up for the next one!

I WATCH ONE PIECE ON VRV: vrv.co/series/GRMG8ZQZR/One-Piece

Ever since I read this part in the manga years ago, Luffy's reaction to Ace' vivre card always irked me,his easy dismissal of his brother in danger just struck me as Un-Luffy like, but maybe that's just me

astherphoenixxx96

i mean if ace had luffy's card, he's see the paper get quite damaged as well vs crocodile or enies lobby

I know people are in a hurry to get to the next stuff, but you may want to watch those filler episodes. They ARE fillers, but they do something important for the series, that I can't really explain without spoiling.

I think I know what arc you are thinking about, but it's not filler it's in the canon watchlist

Jcw490

Hell ya, fishman island here we come!!!

Those "hills have eyes" monsters are taller than sky island btw. Kinda freaky

"Those jokes will never get old" -Technically neither does Brook, since he's already dead 😂

Now we've got to the official moment I can tell you without any spoilers that Brook is my favorite Strawhat.

Yeah I don't get it. I understand Thriller bark isn't quite as epic as Enies Lobby but that being said: The introduction to Brook plus his backstory plus him joining the crew. The fight between Zoro and Ryuma, The awesomeness of nightmare luffy. Kuma just plain being a BEAST! and of course "Nothing happened" if it's not your favorite arc I get it but to people who have said Thriller Bark is not a good arc or boring I'm sorry but your just wrong.

Miasimon

If Lola is this awesome, I bet she gets it from her mama. Hope we see her, someday.

Lewd Angel

And thus, with the ending of Thriller bark i can securely say, so it begins...

astherphoenixxx96

ngl if i were brook, i'd have tried to end my misery by jumping in the sea already

Thriller Bark's ending is one of my favourites (although all the arc's endings are fantastic). Can't wait for the next part of One Piece - the next 50+ episodes are some of my fav!

So this may be obvious or have slipped your mind but Oda-sensei took from the legends of the Bermuda Triangle when creating the concept of the Florian Triangle. And those monstrous Shadows we see at the end are likely a reference to the Umibozu, or Sea Priest Spirits from Japanese folklore. Here is an excerpt from the wiki; “Normally, umibōzu appears to sailors on calm seas which quickly turn tumultuous. It either breaks the ship on emergence or demands a bucket or barrel from the sailors and proceeds to drown them. The only safe way to escape an umibōzu is to give it a bottomless barrel and sail away while it is confused.” The barrel of course was referenced when the crew opened up the flare which brought the fog to them. It’s never confirmed that Morias crew sent out the barrels and so the legend actually fits perfectly. The narrator talks of the legend of these at the end as if hinting at foreshadowing something but I think this is one of the few instances in which Oda does this simply to emphasize the mystery of these spirits. It’s similar to the legend of the Lochness Monster. Although I don’t think the lochness monster has a legend of sinking boats

Yea, I got the Bermuda Triangle reference, but I didn’t know about the Japanese lore... Very cool!
