I can not wait for Thursday when we get to see your reaction to episode 5 "Hard Puncher". There's not really a lot of shows that I've seen where my favorite episode is one of the first few, but the delivery on all fronts (voice acting, animation, sound design) of that episode is what made, to me, Trigun a classic anime. Love to see it, keep it up, Curtis!

you've probably not realized yet but Vash's voice actor is the same as Ichigo's in bleach, funny you're basically starting these 2 around the same time, also the next series you're seeing after this Code Geass's main character has the same VA as well, his names Johnny Yong Bosch.

This is the first anime I ever bought, and I think it was on VHS. Such nostalgia. And it's held up very well over the almost 20 years since then. Just a bit of non-spoilery trivia: the setting is a place called Gunsmoke, likely inspired by the western tv series. The cat that shows up every so often is named Kuroneko-sama because why not. Vash's voice actor also plays Ichigo in Bleach, Rossiu in Gurren Lagann, Jonathan Joestar, Giyu in Demon Slayer, and a laundry list of others in series you haven't seen (yet).

This was a role Jhonny YB had before ichigo then later he becomes the main character of code geauss. He progresses alot to be part one of the best anime dubs.
