Androphobia is the fear of men, it's opposite number is Gynophobia the fear of women. It's honestly not that surprising given Yui's backstory. People who always succeed like she seemed to do with karate. Are always the ones most setback by defeat/failure. So it's no surprise that she took it that hard. I do think that the low-blow tactic should've been common knowledge to her. Then again in a lot of Japanese media I've seen, nut-shots don't really show up as often as in Western entertainment. Not even as a joke, so it may be less common knowledge over there.
