Yea the episode was breathtaking, it really emphasized that the bond of a brother and sister is indestructible. Really a heart warming relationship between Tanjiro and his little sister Nezuko.

Right??? It’s weird, demon slayer is like my hero in while there’s maybe not a TON of unique ideas, the EXECUTION on what they do is so good. The fighting, the tension, the way they can go into comedic relief then start an arc where people are being murdered left and right again, man this show is so damn good

So if we piece the new information from this episode together with Muzan’s flashback from earlier, it starts to create a bigger picture. Muzan is terrified of Tanjiro’s earrings, which his father passed down to him, which probably means that he’s actually afraid of the dancing technique.

So, the anime doesn’t really explain the rankings of the 12 kizuki that well. But, Rui here was only the 2nd weakest out of all of them. He was lower moon 5, or rank 11. So that should put things in perspective lol. The 6 weaker ones are called lower moons and they only have one eye carved with their number. They are ranked from lower moon 1 to lower moon 6. The 6 stronger ones are called upper moons and they have both eyes carved up. So the strongest kizuki is upper moon 1 and the weakest is lower moon 6.

This is the ep is what really put demon slayer on the map as far as mainstream popularity. Also in case you haven't noticed, Rui is voiced by the same guy that did Meruem. And while we're in the topic of VAs you might recognize - Sabito is Eren , Zenitsu is Conny, Giyuu is Reigen, Yushiro is Deku, Urokodaki is Jiraiya. There are probably more I'm forgetting and more you'll meet later down the line.

Demon Slayer is a pretty good show, a great one even. But this episode...this episode is one of the best singular episodes in anime.

Wow, just wow indeed! No wonder this episode is praised to heaven and back.. Tanjiro has quite contracting powers, he inherited fire breathing from his father while he studied water breathing under Urokodaki (Mr.Miyagi)... Also was Tanjiro's father the demon slayer Muzan is actually after? Because he became interested in Tanjiro's earrings the moment he (M.) saw him (T.)

Having not read ahead in the manga yet, my theory is that those earrings have been passed down many generations to the eldest son in the Kamado family along with the Hinokami Kagura dance breathing style. And that it was a distant relative hundreds of years ago that terrified Muzan like we saw in that flashback.

You showed yourself as an unbeliever here. The flashback is not purely positive or negative. The flashback giveth and the flashback taketh away... Specifically the flashback gives power-ups and the flashback takes characters away.

I love that this is like the first time you hear Nezuko's voice in the series since the 1st episode when she says "Demon Art Exploding Blood" there's something gratifying about that for me

So most likely gonna be a controversial opinion but I actually expected more of this episode the ending is of course phenomenal but to be honest with all the hype I expected more for instance mob psycho 100 II episode 11 is hype from start to finish whereas this episode saved the best for the final 2 minutes or so I probably would've enjoyed it more of people didn't hype it up as much just my take tho

Yeah my brother/roommate rushed into my room while I was sleeping to tell me how great of an episode it was, and it made it less thrilling than rewatching it now
