This is probably explained later in the series and I don't want any spoilers from those who have seen the show, but I have to ask (or make comment about it) How did they hide all those normal titans? Was it the Sasquatch's ability? I can't think any other possible explanation for it right now

As an Anime only view it is never explicitly stated that I'm aware, but I believe you are meant to infer that it is the Beast Titan's ability.
