I'm not sure why exactly Armored Titan positioned Eren there, but Colossal Titan is on his way down!

Brother E

This fight is one of my personal favorites just because of the use of MMA style in it. This fight was just gritty

Nuptup

The colossal had only transformed from head to torso, and his torso was attached to the top of the wall. Just before falling down he was detaching his bones that kept him on the walls.

SpazBoysComedy

Ah, okay, thanks. I saw his bones giving way, but I thought I might be reading what was happening wrong. :-)

The Colossal fell towards the two of them. And this fight goes back to the theme of 'rage doesn't work in Eren's favor'. Unlike against Annie, in this fight, while he was out of control at the start (which ended in him getting rekt, to further compound the point), as soon as he composed himself, realized he could use what his enemies taught him against them, and listened to his more strategic comrades, he had Reiner on the ropes. Hell, he would've probably beaten the more experienced shifter had Bertolt not intervened. This is one of the first signs of Eren's development, and there'll be more to come.

Like Brother E said, Hajime Isiyama(aot author) is into MMA so he like to throw in a lot of grappling and such into the series and it makes it feel really real and cool. While I love my "punching so much it looks like I have 100 fists" type style shows it is a bit refreshing.

Love the MMA nature of this fight. And I'm so happy we will be getting all the way to S2 Ep 11 this week. One of my personal favorite episodes.

WHOLESOME DEUS

The colossal titan said "flying headbutt" out of nowhere

When it cut off at the end and you flip out was priceless XD

I always appreciated how this show let Annie stay the better fighter and had Reiner be a difficult opponent in other ways. Much more fun than just saying ''he's stronger''.

CrispyPavementFingers

The triumphant moments in this series are few and far between, and even when it seems hopeful it all just goes down hill anyway

Miasimon

I never noticed THAT detail about the Colossal, the first couple times I watched this. But definitely looks like some characters noticed it right away. This show is 10/10 for having details like this. Where if you only really notice them or put 2 and 2 together if you have the information. I HIGHLY encourage you to rewatch the series once you get to the end!

Tpoints

Yeah, AoT has insane rewatch value bc of those little details. And once you have hindsight of the plot you pick up on and appreciate everything so much more

One of my favorite lines of all anime is actually in this fight. Unfortunately it’s in the English dub but this line is the only time I’ll say it’s better than the Japanese version. “Wanna eradicate humanity? Maybe next time don’t teach me how to kick your ass!”
