It's cool that you see more of the antagonists perspective on the battle of Doldrey. Also Curtis if you ever get a chance too after seeing this battle, you should watch the movies adaptation of it, it's so good and intense.

You gotta agree with Bascon (General Purple to you), the promise of two promotions and whatever the captor may want. Is very bad for military discipline, it leads to reckless behaviour that endangers the lives of your soldiers. Even if only one glory seeker takes the bait. Of course all of these men are knights, the very definition of glory seekers. Also let's not forget that this same strategy didn't work out too well for Jarhead. Must suck to have a horny, incompetent bastard for a boss.

Always found it fascinating, how everyone follows Griffith and they see him like some kind of Mesiah or Angel, even till now I don't fully understand the philosophy behind it
