This is my problem with OP filler most of the time it's luffy and some of his allies against some weak ass guy with a stupid devil fruit trap that the writers make luffy fall into because" He's dumb lol". The pet pet fruit it the best example the only good thing that came out of that filler was we got to see the kung Fu dugongs with h***.

Yeah, these extra games are very hastily thrown together, and so the irony of the "clever and creative" complex new game is that it is, in fact, not clever or creative at all, and often the characters fall for things that they normally wouldn't "just because", or are weakened by whatever random thing they came up with off the top of their head like giving the character an unexplained limitation that only exists for those 5 minutes that it was convenient for whatever rushed work they were trying to force. Ok, we all get that I hate filler by this point, especially desperate filler that barely works and needs to be forced by changing fundamentals. The Davey Back fight is easily one of the best examples of an actual badass fight and concept being made a complete farce because of the filler just shitting on the concept. The worst part for me is the idea that they had already finished a bunch of filler and didn't really need to do this to the Davey Back fight at all, they just wanted to throw in their own 3 game ideas to puff up their chest and say "*we* can do that tooooo~"

Except in the 1v1 fight, foxy proved that hes actually really good at using his powers in combat. In my opinion he would beat any villian they encountered in the east blue, including arlong.
