I never imagined Josuke's fanaticism about his hair came from such a cool backstory!

Yeah so originally Araki wanted to do a time travel plot where Josuke goes back in time and saves himself. That was scrapped so now this makes very little sense.

Araki never confirmed that, and the guy in the flashback doesn't have the same pins as Josuke, just the classical high-school uniform (the only high-school of the town). It's most probably just to show a kind bleeding stranger who still takes time to help others, just a way to show the Morioh spirit to help people in need.

Time to add my chant: Best Bitch! Best Bitch! Best Bitch! Best Bitch~

Heaven's door is such an OP ability. If I had it I would erase "has erectile dysfunction" on my self and replace it with "has a giant horse cock"

to answer your " why did Koichi lose weight " I´ll recopy the answer of Souji "In Japanese the word for thoughts is "Omoi" and the word for weight is "Omoi", they're written differently in kanji but said the same hence why he lost weight when he lost his memories. It's a popular pun/joke. Japanese is a pun language." - as you said Curtis, memories don´t weight anything but I guess it is about the pun :P

Curtis, I don't know if you've ever seen pictures of Araki, but the man's almost 60 years old and still looks like he's in his 30s. He never seems to age. So, the idea of him writing an arc about a manga artist who essentially steals people's life-force in the name of writing better manga... REALLY makes you think...

That backstory is my favorite plotline in this.

Almost at the high point! To me Rohan and the main villain are the most interesting things in this part. I always felt this part lacks in focus and depth. Its feels like a testing ground for araki. Like he wanted to try his hand at bunch of new concepts but never fully committed to anything. Greater character focus, more human hero and villains, mystery, slice of life, world building, romance, slightly more grounded setting and tone, scifi, human horror, and relationships. All good ideas but never fully developed. He should have picked a few and stuck with them. I would have preferred him placing more focus and build up for the main villain and committing to the mystery aspect. Its still a fun part but I feel the latter parts improve on it, for the most part.

That's cool! I had to go look him up, and yea, he definitely has some sort of secret going on! :-D
