Goddamn, what a GREAT series this was! On top of the insanely cool characters and stunning visuals, the dialogue in this series is something even I will remember!

The Major's entire point was that Alucard, a creature that sustains itself by stealing the souls of others and blending their very life force with his own, does not hold a single, unique identity as a human being, with his own unique will, making him less than human, as far as the Major is concerned. The Major rejected immortality when he was shot by the Soviets because it would entail him becoming something that wasn't him. Hell, this perspective is even validated by the fact that Shrodinger's attack works against Alucard at all. It's a great piece of writing. Too bad that Integra's rebuttal completely misses the point. Well, now that Alucard has absorbed Shrodinger but purged all the excess souls within him, he is even closer to immortality than before. Now he can only be killed if he is made unable to recognize himself. Doesn't matter if you stake his heart or anything, just like how Shrodinger was never killed, and can instantly be in every location he can think of. In a sense, he already exists everywhere in the universe at once.

Beautiful series in both the writing and artwork, if you ever wanna see more there's the prequel Hellsing the Dawn that shows what Alucard and Walter did in ww2, also if you thought the idea of waiting weekly or so for one piece would be bad, imagine having to wait for hellsing ultimate, there's only 10 episodes but it took them 6 years from episode 1 to 10 to complete it, sometimes with a few years break in between releases

If you're into guns and explosions, you should react to Astartes. Its a 4 part short that you could burn through in one video, and its got beautiful cgi. Its from Warhammer40k though so some details might be a lil odd to the uninitiated. Nothing bad though!

I'll have to come back to this I started watching the original hellsing anime but despite owning all the ovas I've yet to watch it but I'll make it a priority after I get caught up on some current shows you know how it is if you wade the internet what's not right now is always the worst with spoilers basically I know certain episodes of a show I'd been planning to watch are allegedly hype but other than that I've avoided spoilers but for how long is the question so I'm gonna binge the episodes so it can't be spoiled for me

Schrodinger did in the end leave his curse on Alucard. Now Alucard is everywhere and nowhere the one thing Alucard never wanted. Across the show if you look close Alucard really admired the elderly from the Queen to Walter before his transformation because he himself could not age and hated that about himself. . ALucard hates 3 things 1)those who give up/kill themselves 2)Immortality and 3) Himself because he did both. The one thing Alucard always wanted was to die at the hands of a human but thanks to Schrodinger he can't because he is now more or less immortal.

To this day I still have no idea. What the hell was an 88 Flak gun doing on a Zeppelin? I think finally have the answer though. Kouta Hirano is a huge fan of two things, busty anime girls and gun porn. When the creators of High School of the Dead created their chubby zombie killer. They based it on the author of Hellsing both in name and personality.

Hellsing Ultimate is my 2nd favorite anime of all time, FMAB being 1st but it’s really close.

thinking about it something you may wanna consider is doing Drifters after Mob Psycho 100, it's from the same creator as Hellsing so it's at a very high quality level, it's 12 episodes with 3 ova's, and apparently there'll be a second season

Wow we finally finished Hellsing Ultimate! Been with the channel for a long time and still remember when you & Brax started the Abridged to this show and was just hoping you guys to check out eventually. It took some time and we’ve had a few attempts to watch this show with Riff.tv, face cam the first 2 episodes & having scheduled for over a year since The Goosh first began. Now we’ve finally reached this point and it’s a bittersweet goodbye. Feels like the end to an epic chapter & at the same time a weight of relief off the shoulders to finally checking this one off the list. It was great to break it down to 20 episodes as it made me personally enjoy the journey and remind myself how appreciative I am of this series. Hellsing Ultimate has to be a Top 10 anime show in my book! Thanks Curtis

Seeing as Halloween is just around the corner, I really hope you pick up a show that fits the holiday! There are a few, but one that stands out in particular is Soul Eater (if you don't mind some cartoony aspects).

If you enjoyed this I recommend adding DRIFTERS to future polls , it may not be as good as hellsing but it’s made by the same person and the insanity of the art is CRAZY similar to hellsing !

Guess you seen the end scene. But yeah, that series was made so well. It not only had extreme dark themes but extreme psychological themes with what does it mean to be human and the quest for eternal life. Where a lot of the forces on either side were willing to die with nothing to live for and even Alucard through was saying never is forever and he too will die. He somewhat got his wish with what the Major did to him but Alucard fought back to return to the girls. Showing that even Alucard can't get rid of all aspects of his humanity. This was an experience, it was like Anime Game of Thrones but with a good ending.
