A GREAT matchup between two characters I REALLY like a lot! The fight went about how I figured, but at least Ed got in one last, great line!  😃

Am I the only one who thinks that the concept alone for this battle is dumb? I mean, in terms of feats, Ed isn’t really that strong because FMA doesn’t really have good feats (except for homunculus creating a sun and stuff like that, which doesn’t really matter ’cause Ed is nowhere near his level of power). Aang is the fucking Avatar who has mastered four different types of manipulation and has immense power in his Avatar state. It’s kinda obvious who wins from the start, right?

The one thing I absolutely hate about Death Battle is the real world math they use to try and make characters look super powerful. Not saying that it's bad math, I just feel like they can leave it out and everyone would be just fine.

They showed some pretty impressive feats from FMA. But its true that considering the Avatar State that Ed didn't stand a chance.

I just have a feeling they did this to take a jab at Vic Mignogna (voice of Ed in the dub)

Ryan M

would you consider reacting to legend of korra?

Daolord Badlands

Kinda hard to root against someone who might as well be a demi-god. Ed had no chance.

I completely disagree with them. They overplayed both of them, but, Aang much moreso. First of all, bent lightning does NOT move at the speed of normal lightning. Every other speed feat in the series suggests that the lightning moves slightly faster than the speed of an arrow. Also, Ed did not tank that blast that destroyed the command center. He was shielded by by his dad. Most importantly, though, if Aang was allowed to go against his convictions and kill, then Ed should have been able to go against his convictions and use the philosopher's stone. With the stone, the fight would have been much more fair. Alternatively, they could have both stuck to their convictions, and Aang could have attempted to energy-bend Ed, which Ed could have either taken advantage of, or even just out-willed him. The result MIGHT have been the same, but they didn't do the research they should have.
