Wow! This series is definitely not slow out of the gate! Alucard is one of my all-time favorite characters; it will be interesting to see if this guy gives him a run!  :-)

Yes! Its based on Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, which was published in 1990

This show really does have brilliant writing and characters, in this episode Vlad talks about how humans are all the same, ignorant and violent and selfish. Then this wonderful chick comes along and gives him hope that maybe they aren’t all like that and they could change. In my interpretation of this Dracula should’ve known better, would’ve known had he not been blinded by Lisa’s idealism and his love for her. The voice actors are great too, I think you can hear the hatred in his voice as he realizes how “foolish” he was in this idea that he’d walk as men do, the way he says ‘man’. I can’t wait for your next reaction to this series

I believe the story is based on Castlevania 3.

This series is so damn good, i was genuinely surprised by how well it all turned out. Was never a big Castlevania player, but i knew i lot of people who were, and when i eventually sat down to watch this, i just binged the whole thing

There has been some talk that the team might get berserk. I would love to see that, although they would need a bit more budget as some scenes have a rather low framerate, which is sad because the actual scenography is awesome.

YES! This is the best video game adaptation pretty much ever. It's an amazing series regardless of whether you've played the games or not.

As a Romanian myself i always find weird how other country's pronounce Dracula's name as Vlad Tepes instead of Vlad Ţepeş (Vlad Zzepesh).
