I don't know what more - if any - impact Uncle Iroh will have on the upcoming battles, but it's fine because I LOVE him as the wise sage! His words were cooler than any amount of fire bending badassery could be anyway. :-)

IT'S UNCLE IROH'S WORDS THAT MIGHT SWING THIS BATTLE! - Avatar S3E19

I mean,i understand how its difficult for Aang. Not only is he just a kid, (12 years old) but hes facing an extremely powerful man - Plus it goes against who he is, and how he was raised. It is easy to take a life as some say, but it is much harder to spare one. In this case, its hard to do either knowing the stakes. Its basically a fight against himself on what he can ,should and wants to do.

Iroh and Zuko are my favorite :)

Liesmith

Aang: "I'm so conflicted, I need your wisdom." Roku: "I can't tell you what path to take, but you must be decisive." Kyoshi: "YEAH I'D KILL HIM, AND I HOPE HE'D BURN IN HELL!"

ChaosPudding

I still instantly tear up the moment Iroh embraces Zuko.

GoldArthur

I want to explain what the LionTurtle meant, but I can't until you've seen the last episode. Btw, remember in the ancient Library, when they saw the LionTurtle illustrations? Foreshadowing.

I never got what the wisdom of the lion turtle was supposed to do. I know what happens in the end but that part still makes no sense to me.

Ever since I heard you enjoyed the King of the Chimera ants since of honor I've been waiting for this episode of Avatar.

PKKite

They have been mentioned or illustrated more than once before iirc

ArcaneAnomaly

Something important to note from this episode - Iroh's vision about taking Ba Sing Se. He had a vision of his successful conquest of Ba Sing Se. And that's what led him to attack it as part of the Fire Nation, all those years ago. It was in that battle that he lost his son. The one he was grieving in "Tales of Ba Sing Se". It was after that battle that he retired as part of the Fire Nation army. I believe it was at that point that he lost faith in the Fire Nation's purpose, and started questioning things, and led to who he is today. That vision shaped his entire life. And now, he realizes that it was not his destiny to take Ba Sing Se - it was to free it. A destiny that he may never have realized if he hadn't misinterpreted it in the first place. Prophecies are a funny thing.

I just noticed how the bounty hunter chick is much nicer to her mole creature than she was the last time we saw her. She used to whip it all the time, but now she acts like its her pet. Bonus character development for bounty hunter chick.

What if aang just encased the fire lords body in rock. If he cant move, then he wont be able to use any powerful bending forms that could break him out.

It's the deus ex machina turtle.

Ah, uncle iroh hugging and talking to Zuko always melts my heart

TheMilkalator

Aang is very responsible with the power hes been given that's probably one of his most admirable characteristics

Mighty Snake

I'm so happy, I'm leaving for vacation on Friday and won't have access to internet for a while so I'm glad I'll be able to just catch the finale. Hopefully, you thoroughly enjoy it, Curtis!

Are you ready for the most epic final showdowns of all time? I mean, technically you've already watched them I think, but still! I love the chanting music that serves as the Lion Turtle theme. It imparts such a great sense of mystery and awe to this literally ancient creature.

Gabriel Phipps

Half way through the finale now shit gets real.

This reminds me of Gohans situation a bit when he fought Cell

AceOfSerberit

maybe it was still new to her then, and needed to be trained? Like a puppy. And she was using whips because of the thick skin it had. Plus iirc she mostly just hit the air or ground around it. So more like it was trained on the sound rather then feeling

AceOfSerberit

I know you get it from the comments on the previous episode, but it realy feels like you don't understand/sympaphise at all with Aangs plight here from how you speak and act

Richie Roberts

It's kinda awesome that the fire lord is voiced by Mark Hamill.

Miasimon

Just gotta say that Bumi didn't JUST take back his city by himself. He took back his city by himself, in just a couple minutes. Bumi is without a doubt, the most powerful earthbender. Toph is more skilled, sure.. but she doesn't have the raw power that that crazy old bastard has.

Middleman850

That turtle must be LEOnardo

Daolord Badlands

I'm really excited and bummed that the finale is here. Maybe I'll get lucky and Curtis will watch Korra too...

Garlic

I wonder how old that lion turtle is.

hype is real ^^

i dont think they give a number but in korra they suggest several thousand years
