ONE PIECE is the embodiment of the term “NAKAMA” (roughly translates to “friends” but not quite). Curtis You should use this term more often instead of “friends” cause it is something that transcends friendship to a deeper relationship like “family not bound by blood”. Great reaction as always

one example would be that Koby is a FRIEND of Luffy but he is not a NAKAMA, whereas all his crew are.

To this day, this episode is still one of my favorites in the series. It’s just a perfect embodiment to what the show is all about and how this group of characters are able to stick together throughout this whole journey to find the One Piece. It’s unfortunate that some people skip this episode because it was labeled ‘filler’. A real quality episode

the last "filler" episode we sow why and how ace left them witch does not qualify as a filler! ( i think people nowdays have a complete fucked up mesurment of filler ) and some of the events in this "filler" will be relevant later down the line (not going to spoil why and how) witch again does not qualify as a filler (unless you want to be that ANOYING person ho keeps asking "w8 how did they know where and what was there, this is a plot hole in the series this sucks!" just because he/she did not watch the episode showing that event kuz it was market by some dummy as filler one piece has fillers (a fair amont of them in fact) but this ain't it

On its own this was actually a really good episode, and I really dislike OP filler :o I wouldnt accept it as canon though, I feel Toei is overreaching from their station with giving characters motivations and such. This wasnt necessarily that bad here, but it really can be.

I really think One Piece and Bleach has a bunch of enjoyable fillers, minus a few bad misses. Naruto is the opposite. A lot of shit ones, only a few good. Yeah, i said it. lol And I enjoy Naruto but that's how I feel about its fillers.

I'm mostly with ya, Pal... The Naruto fillers I've seen I didn't hate, but they were, to me, nowhere near as good as the OP filler I've seen so far.
