All we gotta do is gather the dragon balls and wish him back 😇😂🤣

They did straight up tell you that he was planning to do what kuwabara did in the dark tournament... But death is pretty much just a revolving door in this world.

Your reactions are the best Curtis :)!

Sensui is just too idealistic. For him, humans are either 100% pure or 100% evil, their's no in-between. So, after he went batshit crazy, he decided that because all people have the capacity to commit horrible deeds, that they are all evil. It doesn't matter to him whether or not they actually act on those cruel impulses. The very notion that they have those impulses make them evil to him. That's why he wants to kill everyone. It's not so much that "Some people are bad so lets kill all humans" It's more like "All people are secretly evil, even if they don't actively do evil, so lets kill them all." Sensui is so idealistic that he expects everyone to be 100% good and not even want to commit wrong, while the reality is that every human can have pretty fucked up notions occasionally. When Sensui realized this, he went mental and decided that every person is evil and should die. So, in summary, Sensui's fucking nuts.

Not a fan of how we got it but the shot of hiei kurama and kuwabara with their heads down and the tunnel just falling around them while the music plays...I swear I'm not getting emotional a fly flew in my eye and dust also onions

Man I love that epic music that plays during Kuwabaras sword moment - "Tatakai no Hate"

I love this episode. The music, the acting, the animation, and the story in this episode are all on point. At 12 minutes in we get some great music behind Kuwabara trying to unleash his power which is immediately cut when they get out of the demon (I always love well placed silence). You can really see Kuwabara's actor doing some work through that voice in this episode, Chris Sabat is doing that work, in the next episode we will see a great delivery from Chuck Huber. The animation from this series is why I will never truly love new animation styles. Compare this to Naruto, when Neji died nothing was conveyed in the medium the show was done in, that is to say animation. When Jiraiya died, you had a slight change of color when Naruto was grieving, but they never used the animation to show the impact. This is what I think Yu Yu Hakusho does really well. The story is done really well also. Sure there are flashbacks which save on animation, but they are purposeful, and we even get new animation of Kuwabara's development with Urameshi. And the buildup to Yusuke's death is fantastic and what is followed. Kuwabara doesn't readily accept his death, it's tragic yes, but it also shows that time was given to it. To compare to Naruto again, Neji's death had everybodies reactions, but there was never any intimacy with his death. You had Neji dying in Naruto's and Hinata's arms, but you get the bad guy pontificating about Naruto's weakness and Hinata slapping him. I wrote more than I thought I would, but honestly, I wouldn't of hyped this episode wayback if I it wasn't great.

That music is so simple too. Honestly, one of the things that make it great is the buildup, the crescendo. One thing that we have lost in electronically recorded music is the ability to be affected by dynamic changes, so when this music track is and entire crescendo follow by a climax, you can really feel it. I also love when it climaxes it goes silent when Kuwabara cuts their way out. When it happened, I was wonder if Curtis thought his video player had froze.

The performance of Chris Sabat as Kuwabara in this episode is award worthy. It's amazing the full range of emotions we get out of Kuwabara in this episode. The speech where he questions the meaning of it all while bringing out the Dimension Sword always gets to me.

This episode plays like such a gut punch. Beautiful soundtrack and so well done. Thank you for watching this with us and for your reaction.

Perfect build-up with a perfect (and tragic) pay-off. Even after seeing it so many times it still captures me!

Love Hiei glad you loved his why don't we kill kuwabara again and about yusuke I don't think he could move or even if he could he wouldn't have you asked about the spirit orbs healing capabilities I think that was it he took a hell of a beating during this fight when he finally got up that last time looked like it took all he had he was done at that point but also yeah fuck sensui he killed yusuke which sucks a lot but also because of keiko being widowed again (its almost like they're married the way they act) and he made granny gilf sad too so screw him

Yusuke’s plan was that his death would give Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara a power up so they can kill Sensui, since they had the potential to become stronger, but they needed the sense of loss to achieve it. Like when Yusuke had to see Kuwabara “die” to finally reach his full potential.

SpazBoysComedy

Yes, I know what the plan was. My thoughts were that the others would be able to intervene before Yusuke went through with it.

hiei and sarge from Rvb have something in common. Both of them usually make plans that involve a teammate (who they hate) 's death

Makes me cry everytime.

Oh boy. I can't remember if it's next episode or the one after. But oh boy.

"Here's a one-way ticket for you straight to hell, YOU BASTAAAARD!!!" Have a guess as to who lets loose with that one, Curtis? The delivery makes it one of my favorite lines in the series.

Rue Surnameunimportant

Hiei going to "kill" and Kurama ( the "sweet, merciful" one ) going straight to torture -- I love that we get to see his viciousness sometimes. Also, gosh, I 100% forgot how well-done this episode was. Kuwabara's anguish and thinking it's a joke. Genkai's anguish. Everyone so upset. Even Itsuki and Sensui were so emotional about the event albeit for different reasons altogether. I love when we get those perspective conflicts.

DeFlow

Dude I don't think were suppose to feel bad for Sensui, I think were suppose to know he's crazy I mean he's genuinely sad for killing Yusuke and not to mention he has seven personalities that either enjoyed or felt bad for what Shinobu did. At most we can view him as a rabid dog with no cure that we have to put him down even if he used to protect humanity and wanted to. So don't worry your not alone in wanting Sensui dead it's part of what makes him a great villain.

Honestly I do feel bad for the base sensui. Dude got completely broken to the point that he personality split into 7 people. All that needed to happen for him to function perfectly is for there not to be complete deranged scum like the black black club. His adaptability isn't admirable, but it does suck that such a simple and pure person got stuck watching the "evil" he desperately fought day in and day out being raped, tortured, eaten, and bathed in, by the "good" he was protecting. Now at this point I don't feel sorry for him, but I do feel sorry for the impressionable kid that got broken by seeing crap he had no business seeing :/
