Once again, this series does a great job of keeping characters interesting and blurring the lines of emotions regarding them. Now we've got the ultimate bad girl completely playing a despicable bad guy!

You're not alone in this Curtis. Everyone faults the king for sharing that info, but remember that Sokka assured him they were trustworthy.

AyBe

Curtis, they put a couple episodes together because they came out at the same time as a special.

GoldArthur

It puts episodes together when they are 2 parts of the same "episode". For example, each finale is multiple parts. Speaking of which, when you reach the series finale, you should watch all four together. It's basically a movie, but they broke it into 4 episodes for TV.

Azula is one of my favorite characters, can't wait to see the next reaction :) also, I can't really fault the King for what he did. Team Avatar (the people who showed him the truth) personally vouched for these women, and so he's treating them as good friends. You gotta remember he's very sheltered, and I mean not allowed out of the palace sheltered

I kinda wish momo had gone with aang. There were a few moments that could have good momo gags there and momo didn't really have any good ones this episode.

He can only turn it back by giving up on his attachment.

"So the bad guys are going to trap Toph in a steel box, and no Earth Bender can bend metal." "Wow, so it'll probably be nearly possible for her to get out of that situation, right?" "Actually it'll be super easy, barely an inconvenience." Sorry, I've been binge-watching Pitch Meetings on YouTube.

You shoud watch "Avatar is anime. Fu** You. Fight me." By Mothers Basement Curtis.

Hey Curtis I posted this on a previous post but you in case you missed it I am repeating it here. These are the real world influences on the Air Nomads and their Culture. Copied and pasted from the Avatar wiki: Air Nomads The Air Nomads are based primarily on Tibetan culture, the Shaolin Monks, and Sri Lankan Buddhism. Other influences are drawn from Hinduism - notably, the seven chakras. Many Buddhist and Hindu groups practice vegetarianism, a trademark of Air Nomad culture. The Air Nomads were a monastic culture: Their bald heads, clothing, and meditation practices closely parallel real-world Buddhist monks. Tibetans use a set of toys to find the next Dalai Lama, which the Air Nomads also use when looking for the new Avatar. Like the Dalai Lama, Aang was the reincarnated spiritual leader of his people. Aang's mentor was named Monk Gyatso and his son Tenzin, which form the real name of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. Aang's clothing in season one and two closely resembles the saffron robes of Shaolin Monks. These were in turn based on the robes of Buddhist monks who visited from India. The architecture of the air temples resembles real-world brick pagodas similar to the famous "Pagoda Forest" of the Shaolin Temple in China. Laghima's Peak contains a small room carved out of the rock itself, which holds an altar dedicated to Guru Laghima, as well as other statues in side niches. This was inspired by a similarly-fashioned room in Paro Taktsang, also known as Tiger's Nest, a Buddhist monastery in the Himalayan country of Bhutan. In season three, Aang wears clothing similar to the Dalai Lama. In Buddhist tradition, the right arm of the Dalai Lama is always kept uncovered. In his late-season three clothing, which is similar in style, Aang's right arm is also uncovered. Monk Gyatso and Aang used airbending to lightheartedly make cakes, much to the chagrin of the other elders. In Tibetan Buddhism, gtor-ma cakes are sacrificial cakes used in ceremonies and play an important role in Tibetan culture. However, these cakes are usually used to appease the more wrathful of Buddhist deities, and would not have been treated in such a cavalier manner. P.S. Please let me know if you get this message. I hope you enjoy it.

Hey Curtis, I got a thing I want to send you, but I can't seem to find what your p.o. box is. I'm probably just missing it cause I'm fucking blind or something as usual.

12 years later and im still mad long fengs character writing went to shit. No better than how danzo was written out of naruto. Yeah im writing this story and just think "wouldnt be amazing if this tactful veteran i built up this whole arc was easily dismissed by this angsty teen!"

SpazBoysComedy

No, it's not you, My Friend. I just stopped promoting it because my schedule is so hectic it's difficult for me to find time for unboxing vids... If you want to send something, though, it's:

This is Not a kids show

Gene Bookwalter

Thats cause of bad writing i mentioned, they had great concept for "corrupt govt official" that went nowhere. I'll admit my extra salty bias stems from enjoying these archtypes when done well.

Yellin

I cried watching chopper backstory every time.

Toph just casually invents a new style of bending. As you do.

Yuion

You know that Toph is fuckin badass when she INVENTS a new bending style. She is maybe the most badass character in avatar

Miasimon

This is basically how Zuko is when he's not going through a shit ton of emotional conflict like you've seen all of book 1 and book 2 up to this episode. This isn't Prince Zuko who must reclaim his honor.. this is just Zuko, loving nephew of Iroh.

LireKlein

I think Zuko is legit for now, but will soon go back into his edgy side with the whole trap from Azula. Also: Azula is always on top, always.

Lewd Angel

Honestly, this episode is one of my least liked ones in the show. First of all, while Azula has amazing intellect and always stays on top of things, her entrance to Basingsei is kinda really stupid. She couldn't have known the Avatar was leaving, so what would've happened if they got invited into the city and then the gang spotted them out immediately? Sure MAYBE she could've gotten in contact with the Dai Li but with both her and the advisor in jail and mistrusted theres not much they could've done. Seriously poorly planned and sheer dumb luck she wasn't busted right away. Also, this is a smaller irk i have cause i know its a kids show and all, but how the hell is a 12 year old able to let go of emotional pains and traumas at the snap of a finger? Something even adults in therapy take years to get through? I get he was raised by monks and all but the unlocking of his 7 Chakras that easily and that quickly just kills it for me

Yo is curtis okay? All his videos be saying "Oops try again"

Denickart

Pretty sure if Aang was still in the city he plan was just to capture/kill him regardless

Azula has something most villains lack true charisma but its overshadowed by fear wear as most villains either only have fear or only have charisma by the plot saying they do
