That encounter with the wise old owl was pretty bizarre, but most important is to get our big, flying friend back from those hicks!

Jens B

this is where the show gets EVEN BETTER

Curtis, you looked away *right* as Toph punctuated her joke about "that's what it'll sound like when one of you spots it!": https://media1.giphy.com/media/12ku9ihOJlJ36U/source.gif No need to thank me, just being a hero.

I always felt like the gaang were assholes here, this spirit brings his library to the human world, collects books for the betterment of humanity and peace, but they use it for war, then, after being betrayed multiple times, he gives them one last chance to prove humanity as a whole, and they steal and use the knowledge they got for war.

SpazBoysComedy

Yea, that was funny! Anything like that I miss, I always see when editing, as I go back through the entire episode. :-)

Also Fire lord ozai is voiced by Mark Hamill(Luke Skywalker)

Middleman850

Yeah but if you think about the desperate situation they are trying to prevent. The balance of the world is at stake. Knowledge owl should realize how important that is even to the spirit world.

The Gimpster 101

I don't think anyone in the crew has brought it up yet so I figured I'd say it, the guy who voices Appa is the same one who voices Momo.

Straight White Male

The guy who voices the Professor is voiced by the same guy who voices Carth Onasi from KOTOR and Kaidan Alenko from Mass Effect.

Yea, one of my favorite aspects of the show is the fantastic world building and lore they crafted

Daniel Gonzalez

He can't hide from me forever someday I shall see him dead (spoken as my revan character from Kotor who was unfairly judged for his lifestyle choices by his "friends" and had to put them down for it whatever I just always go for bastila battle meditation ftw)

APPA NO! I’M STILL NOT OKAY WITH THIS! YEARS LATER AND THIS ARC STILL HURTS ME!

GoldArthur

If you notice Curtis, the firebender that the spirit talks about abusing knowledge was Zhao (Planet of the Apes guy). That library is where he found out about the moon spirit. He actually mentions the library in the second-to-last episode of Book 1.

Gene Bookwalter

Aang to Katara "their animals! And ill slaughter them like animals!!" *plays imperial march*

Miasimon

Not gonna lie... the book nerd in me would kill to spend a few years just locked up in that library. I used to spend hours upon hours at libraries back when I was still in school, and in high school I spent every lunch just sitting in the library and reading. Most if not all of humanity's collective knowledge all in one place... it'd be like being in a physical representation of the internet.
