Keiko is my favorite necrophiliac.

I love how quickly you went from nearly crying to laughing.

MarvelKnight101

Here's another Yu Yu Voice Over Fun Fact Curtis; the young Laura Bailey the voice of Keiko would voice Lust years later on Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'm enjoying these episodes, though I am anxious to get to the action and later stuff. The author originally had a different intention for the series, which is why the earlier episodes deal more with the relationships between the characters and general character-building. Not that I don't enjoy the character-building, but it's only one-half of what the show has to offer.

The cool thing is that the action wouldn't mean nearly as much without this character work. Yu Yu hakusho has my absolute favorite fight in anime, but it's the characters that make this show as great as it is.

Sloopgamer

Keiko and Yusuke are great together!!!^^

Well it kind of makes sense that Koenma would give Yusuke a second chance. He was willing to risk his chance to be resurrected in order to save the girl who loves him. Very few people would've done that in his situation. It's kind of like the reverse of the story of The Spider's Thread. Where a career criminal is sent to hell. But the Buddha takes pity on him because he performed one act of kindness. (He decided not to step on a spider once while out walking in the woods). So he lowers down a spider's thread upon which the criminal would be able to climb out of hell into Paradise. The criminal starts climbing but that's when he realizes that all the other damned souls are trying to climb the spider's thread too. Afraid that it'll break he starts kicking and yelling at them that the thread was his and his alone. The thread of course breaks and he falls back into hell. Unlike the man in that story Yusuke thought almost nothing of himself. And chose to save Keiko instead.

Damn I forgot how good this show, even this early on, was

So you probably know that the author of YYH went on to make HxH and I'm just curious if you are already finding the similarities between them.

SpazBoysComedy

Little bits here and there. It could be, though, less to my ability to pick out those things and more because I knew they were done by the same author, so I think I subconsciously look for similarities. :-D

Togashi knows how to write likable characters

Damn you Neighborhood Watch Committee

Jacob Schreiber

Curtis just FYI it’s mentioned by yusukes mom in episode 3 that his body actually has a very light pulse which is why they’re keeping him laid out like that lol

This is my favorite anime of all time, I'm glad I have another excuse to watch it

7:42 Attention everyone! This is the Neighbourhood Watch Committee reminding everyone that necrophilia is still illegal!
