These first few episodes just build the story and set up the characters. But after that it picks up with the fights and the villains.

Keiko is a genuine waifu. Sure, her looks are plain, but, personally, I prefer that, and she's got a heart of gold.

Hey Curtis did you know that the Creator of Yu Yu Hakusho is also the Creator of HunterXHunter. This series holds a special place in my heart, that I own all four seasons and I watch them constantly. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

On another note, King Enma is based on Lord Yama, a Buddhist equivalent to St. Peter. In Dragon Ball, that manifested in King Yemma, king of mahogany!

I don't understand what keiko sees in Yusuke. If you look at it from everyone elses perpective he is a asshole but maybe Keiko is one of the people he has been nice too.

Curtis, I've noted that so far Yu Yu Hakusho's spirit/otherworld thing works similar to Dragon Balls. In Dragon Ball how your revived is that when you make that wish to Shenron, what he does is he goes to otherworld grabs the person who was wished back's soul and brings it back to his body. (later on he could recreate the body too but that was for convenience sake) Here in YYH to revive your body hast to be intact like early DB and obviously the one coming back has to return to it. Though i think things are gonna be a little more complicated than in DB as this arc continues.

I’m gonna really enjoy rewatching this again. This’ll be the 4th or fifth time. When Shokugeki no soma finishes you really should watch Rurouni Kenshin. Dragonball, Yuyhakusho, rurouni Kenshin, and One Piece are shows I will happily rewatch for the rest of my life

There's also the fact if he gets eaten (killed again while dead) he's basically gone. In Dragon Ball if your killed again getting to otherworld (this is a case that only works if the person in question was a good enough person in life to be given back their body in otherworld) than they, their soul, and everything will disappear. This effect will also happen if you die during your one free day in the living world Goku got and Vegeta sorta got so he could beat Buu.

Yeah I love yusuke and keikos connection one of my favorites for anime pretty open about how much they care but cool I thought you were watching food wars but wasn't sure but wanted to say one of the reasons I probably enjoy it so much is he reminded of anime protagonists of yusukes caliber always talking trash but usually able to back it up
