Dunno if you noticed yet but Kimblee the crimson alchemist is the guy we see locked up in episode 1.

I love Kimblee. He knows what he is and doesn't shy away from death. He asks very good psychological questions. He also uses explosion alchemy which is awesome to me.

I highly HIGHLY suggest at the end of a series to watch a certain video on the most unique characters in the show. It shows just how much thought goes into making them. If your willing to ill link in about 5 episodes before the finale if your watching in batches and willing to see it.

Mines gotta be Scar, Kimblee, Ling and Hohenheim. TBH I like all of them, I can't think of a single character that I dislike.

No, it's a tattoo. After Mustang learned it Hawkeye asked him to burn as little of her skin as possible to make the tattoo useless so no one else could learn flame alchemy.
