Barry is pissing me off! This dipshit butcher has clearly gotten into Al's head and has made him feel sad and uncertain about his past... Plus, I'm not sure exactly what Lust is up to, but she's pretty intimidating!... I certainly hope Al is able to get all this worked out in his mind.

BARRY THE BUTCHER DOUCHEBAG IS GETTING IN AL'S HEAD! - FMAB #8

Berry sure pulled one over on AL, making him think Ed fabricated his entire existence

Hey Curtis, I have to cancel my subscription for this month since I am struggling atm. I’ll be glad to catch up on all the reactions next month, keep it up! :^)

No worries at all, My Friend!... Completely aside from anything here, I hope things pick up and work out well for you! Don't feel alone; I've been there.

The after credits scenes of episode 6 explained why his arm stopped working, but they explain it again the next episode I think. Barry getting in Al's head so easily is my least favorite plot-line in the show, but when I think about it it is not that far fetched. Al is still incredibly young which would make it easier to get in his head like that. And the fact that Ed JUST told him he had some big secret to tell him only made it easier for Barry.

Yeah I was pretty surprised,Al started to believe his lies, but I do then remember he is only a child and they can be pretty gullible and naive

Brother E

Barry manipulated Al so easily because Al is just a kid. So he doesn’t have the sense to rationalize everything into question. Just like an ordinary boy he’s naive enough to believe what others tell him.

Lieutenant Colonel Hues always cracks me up

What Barry asked Alphonse to do reminded of the way "witches" were treated in the 17-18th century. When people accused someone of being a witch, the accused was tied and put into a river with the help of a dunking stool: if the accused sank she was innocent and if the accused floated she was a witch. When they find out the person is a witch they burned her alive. Obviously if the accused doesn't want to drown, he holds his breath and by doing so the person fills his lungs with air making him float and later burned alive. In this scenario, Barry asks Al to get rid of the seal: if he remains after the seal is removed it means he's only a puppet controlled by Edward, if he dies it means he was a real person. Kind of a stretch but in both scenario the innocent ends up getting killed.

We know Lust, Envy, and Gluttony so far. Lust and Gluttony show their names pretty obviously, so that just leaves Envy

Couple comments for this episode. I love barry hes funny even tho hes an ass to Alphonse. I hate envy, but i love him as a character. Also Kimmley is a crazy bastard but i like his character to. Alphonse is only about 12 to 13 so his mind is easy to fuck with even though hes really smart.

That chidori like move ed used was the same alechemy technique scar uses. Its essentially destruction and atomizes whatever he touches.

The reason it's playing on Alphonse's head is because you need to realize he's still just a 12 year old boy, he's still able to be lead astray by implanting thoughts and feelings of doubt in him. It's sad but that's the reality of it at this point\

There are a lot of philosophical questions raised throughout this series. Today we tackle Descartes classic conundrum how do we know that anything about the world is real. Cogito Ergo Sum, I think therefore I am.

WHOLESOME DEUS

Barry the handsome butcher!!!

Barry even references it directly, "I kill therefore I am".

I think people arent really understanding the situation Al is in when they say he's gullible. The kid doesnt have a body! If I lacked a body, thus having no proof of anything about my life as a human, that thought would get to me too. Its not about being gullible, with as few assurances as he has its a very natural thing to question.

When I was little I remember watching episode of 2003 FMA when Barry was introduced and it kinda traumatised me. After that episode I stopped watching FMA. But now when I think about it I'm glad it gave me such big emotional impression beacause that is why I remembered about this show when I grew up. Geez 2003 FMA is really dark and just another experience. Would really like to see Curtis react to it someday. But still FMAB>FMA 2003

Weiss Schnee

the aftercredits in episode 6 showed that winry had forgotten to put 1 bolt in Ed's new arm

Mitchell Fanning

Someone needs to get Curtis a list of after credits scenes

He's 14. Granny asked him a few episode before this one. Al is 14 and Ed is 15.
