at this point I dont think Killuas dad has any real plan he just knows that even though Killua is different hes still his son and once hes gotten over his silly need for friendship he will return and by helping him instead of locking him up his Dads hopping he wont Rebel against them afterall in their own words hes the most talented Zoldyck Child...

Yea I believe he was bieng genuine to about him maybe raising kil the wrong way but since killua is his son he believes he shall eventually come back to take over the family buisness

Killuas Dad is one of the cooler characters be it a side character and Gramps is a beast too. Just his mum and his brother are total nutjobs^^

I hate Killua's mom as well as Ilumi and the fat brother. I have mixed feelings about Silva because he is cool and seems to treat Killua better than the other three, but I don't belive that what he said to Killua is 100% genuine because of his discussion with Kil's mother after Kil left. I do love the Grandfather "Zeno". The grandfather is so badass and powerful, on top of the fact that he seems to let Killua do whatever he wants. Plus he is a rival/"friend" to Netero so that proves that he is a awsome character.
