Man I know people love Pokemon but I'm not looking forward to this winning the poll there's what? more episodes than One Piece and a couple others shows combined think only Detective Conan beats it but we are slaves to the polls

Bojack could still win (77 episodes including the Christmas special)- and I imagine if this does win, he’ll take breaks for shorter series like he does with Sunny 🤷‍♀️

Hey, man, I keep telling people to stop nominating ridiculously long shows like this and Inuyasha, but no one listens to me.... although with that said, if my only options that actually matter are this or a show I've never seen and don't give a shit about, I'm sorry but I'm picking Pokemon.

Will you be reacting to the One Piece Fan letter Special?

Corey Dillon

Fair enough. It was released a few days ago to celebrate the anime’s 25th anniversary. It’s actually one of the top rated Anime episodes of the year.

James West

Curtis you need to watch that episode because it is canon from the light novel and one of the most beautiful episodes of the series! Everyone is watching it.

James West

Should explain it further on what the episode is because he may assume it is filler and a waste of time

Corey Dillon

Fan letter is basically a special episode directed by Megumi Ishitani who famously directed episode 1015 which fans hold in high regard in terms of animation and story. The special is based on a series of short stories Oda wrote a while back. It’s basically a huge love letter to fans and the characters and why they resonate with so many. The animation is S tier movie quality.

I'm hoping Pokémon is able to squeeze out a win, it's one of the big shows from my childhood, and honestly probably the first anime I ever watched. The characters are so nostalgic to me as well, Ash's journey is really great, and the world is so full of interesting characters, it's fun reliving this journey especially this early on when the world was so simple, before the world was so fleshed out and developed. That's one of the things I'm looking forward to actually, Pokemon has a pretty vast extensive lore and worldbuilding beneath the surface. currently... there's 1,025 Pokemon (not counting some regional variants), back when this aired there was only 151, with Gen 2 being mid development. Oh, one little thing you may notice, the animation during electric attacks or any flashing scenes... There's a certain Pokemon episode that caused a small mass epilepsy attack in Japan when it first aired, it kind of changed some broadcasting standards after it happened, so a lot of these older episodes went through some slight edits to slow down or remove some of the flashing scenes during parts like electric attacks or explosions, like in this episode, I can completely understand why they had to change it honestly, I actually still remember what the flashing use to look like... and it was pretty intense.

so happy you're watching this. I literally grew up on this and Dragon Ball. (fun fact, that pokemon team rocket had "Ekans" is literally "snake" spelled backwards lol

heemthebean

also, when you get done with always sunny i highly suggest looking into "what we do in the shadows" on Hulu, its a comedy about vampires and it's so funny you'd love it

I gotta admit, this video would have been even more entertaining if I'd had a seizure during it! 😂

To answer your question of how many Pokemon there are now, just a little over a thousand.
