Maomao going full mad scientist complete with evil laugh is hilarious. Her dad was right to forbid her to touch corpses, she'd probably end up as a villain if she fully indulged in her curiosity without boundries. Hell, if Maomao did get a resurrection medicine she could probably get around the restriction "It's not touching corpses if I just bring them back to life after experimenting on them, muhahahaha."

At last the truth comes out that Jinshi isn't a eunuch at least not in the traditional way. (Castration is usually a lot more simple and reliable than doing it with medicine). Also Mao Mao has good instincts for saying that Gaoshun is the sort that'd make a good husband. Clearly he does to have adult children and a second grandchild at his age. Also regarding the clubbing incident you oughta get a laugh out of this. I saw someone dub over that scene with the audio with the Scout Audio from Team Fortress 2. "I hate doctors! Boink! Bonk!" I'm going to hell for laughing so hard at that.

I agree with you, Maomao is probably my favourite character in the series, she's just so... eccentric, I mean, Suirei's plan nearly resulted in Maomao and Jinshi's death, and all Maomao wants to do is catch her so she can learn her medicine, she's definitely dedicated. Also that thing Jinshi drinks is potato flour, basically he's drinking something that promotes estrogen, that's why his appearance is so... feminine, I do wonder what his real mission is, we know he's meant to keep watch over the courtesans and weed out disloyal ones, but what other reason could the emperor have put him there. Also poor Gaoshun, he just wants to spend time with his grandkids (he's 37 by the way).
