Once again, Maomao's sleuthing skills come in very handy! But if it wasn't the warehouseman smoking, who was it?!

Dust explosions were a major risk in coalmines. You have miners digging up coal so coal dust is flying everywhere in a small enclosed space with no ventilation or airflow, all it takes is one spark to light it off and cause an explosion and possible mine collapse. It was also a danger in wood workshops (lots of sawdust in the air). Goblin slayer actually used it as a tactic in one episode in his anime, he caused a dust explosion against a beholder using flour dust.

It's also what Subaru attempted to do in season 2 of Re:Zero but failed at against the big dog beast, while he was in the burning mansion trying to save everyone.

Maomao has a wide variety of knowledge... poor Lishu, she's a bit young to learn what Maomao taught her...

Maomao has an interesting mix of students this episode. Two who are enthusiastic to be learning, one who's trying but is too pure for the subject matter and one who doesn't even take a look at the textbook. Speaking of Loulan's kind of still a mystery, I hope they explain more of what her deal is in the next season. The others have more or less covered dust explosions. But they're also a big risk in places like flour mills and grain elevators.
