I love what the show can do with characters, the last 2 episodes they make soldat into an unlikeable character than in 1 episode they flip him 180 and he becomes one of my favs lol

The true villain of the season rears its head...or at least prevents Rudy from doing so heh.

If you ever get the chance, the official op song for this half of the season is quite emotional and really nails this series message. It has official subtitles. I think you'd enjoy the video too. Really heartfelt. https://youtu.be/fE9trKOuT3Q?si=qw5iI2-xN8O7rjMm

This is probably the worst hex/disease I've seen in anime! 😂

I like that the series gives Rudeus a problem like ED but doesn't treat it as a joke. I mean there are people who joke about it. But the issue is taken seriously. He's in a situation where it's understandable, he might have a problem with it. I mean think about how much emphasis humanity puts on sex, it's built up into this huge earth-shaking, life-shattering event. So there's a lot of pressure on young men to perform already. Then take Rudy who died a virgin in his previous life, then had his first time in this world. With a girl he really loved, but when he wakes up? She's not there. Even a normal guy having his first time, without the extra pressure Rudy's under, is going to think. "Why did she leave? Was it something I did? Am I just shitty in bed?" etc. It's going to impact him psychologically, in young men ED is typically psychological, whereas in older men it just kind of comes with the territory. I love how Sara isn't really the villain in this situation. She's a young woman who clearly very much likes Rudy, given the relationship they've built. She probably sees him as her prince on a white horse. The one that every girl dreams of at some point in their childhood. Then when they finally get down to business, he's unable to perform. It makes her feel like she's not pretty enough. When it's not really about her, it's Rudy's problem. She probably runs off to Suzanne, an older woman who she admires and confides in. Suzanne being more experienced and willing to see the other side of the problem, advises her that might not be the case. Then disaster strikes, which as far as Sara's concerned confirms her initial thoughts, that she really isn't pretty enough. Not only that but the guy she was bearing herself too is an insensitive jerk. It's a shame, I honestly believe that if it wasn't for that moment. Sara and Rudeus could have built a relationship that would've overcome his problem. Sadly it's not meant to be. Soldat really went from asshole to bro, in a hurry. That's good writing, being able to introduce a character that the audience instantly hates. And then an episode later, convince them that they were wrong.
